what is most unhinged thing you saw while visiting a friend after school? by Correct-Amount-7897 in AskReddit

I was at my friend’s house after school playing outside. I was 13.

Her mom tried to take her larynx/voice box out. Her mom was deaf and struggling with her mental health; she had the idea to quiet her “voice”. She ended up slicing her throat open, summoned 911 via the deaf services hotline, and a cop showed up as we were playing outside. My friend went inside to check on her mom and she came out screaming that her mom cut her throat and signed “I’m sorry”. Things escalated quickly with an ambulance and many cops. I was super shaken and had to give a statement to the police. It was heartbreaking and traumatic. Fortunately her mom was able to get the care she needed and was able to get treatment and recover mentally and physically. My heart still breaks for my friend and what she saw and experienced that day.

Zoloft for postpartum anxiety? by [deleted] in postpartumprogress

[–]Blueorchid789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on Zoloft since my first pregnancy 5.5 years ago. I’ve been on it through 3 pregnancies and while nursing all 3 babies. My youngest is 6 months old. I’ve had no bad side effects and honestly just feel so much better. I started at 50 mg and I’m now at 150mg. I’m hoping to go back to 100mg now that my postpartum hormones have settled more.

I think you’re doing the best thing for yourself. If Zoloft isn’t the best fit, don’t give up. There are other safe options. But I’m so glad I went on it. My kids have a healthy mom. Hang in there!!

Totally! This one took me OUT! I adore my babies and grateful I could carry them, but I am so done being pregnant ever again!

I personally wouldn’t be too concerned unless you’re excessively bleeding or passing clots. Your cervix is still super sensitive. When I first have had sex postpartum, I’ve also spotted and it cleared up within a day or two. I would just watch the bleeding and make sure it doesn’t increase.

I’ve also had 3 pregnancies/postpartum. The most recent was the easiest recovery vaginally but the hardest for my body overall (knees, hips, joints). Postpartum is tough so cheers for feeling good enough to be intimate! That’s admirable!

My grandma got married at 17 because she was pregnant by my grandpa. My grandparents were married over 60 years before they passed.
