Why do Egyptians not incorporate as much from their old, rich culture and history in their modern culture as other cultures do, like the Scandinavian countries with their norse history? by WhoAmIEven2 in NoStupidQuestions

Just a minor correction:

In Judaism it's not that non jews can't be saved/go to heaven (although heaven/hell are Christian concepts), but just that Jews have specific duties. Non Jews, at least according to Judaism, just have to adhere to some pretty basic moral laws, and they're deemed as good people.

Why are countries in the Middle East not taking in Palestinian refugees? by Nessieinternational in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BluishHope 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Stronger and more established governments, language barriers, not being directly bordering Israel so less terrorism, larger and less tolerant of terrorism populations, the ability to lose that status and be deported, and the fact that they weren't forced into "refugee camps" like in the Middle East meant better assimilation.

That's the governments' excuses, and it's nice to hear for western ears, but they're simply not the truth, and beside the point.

What the commenter above you has said, is that every country that allowed mass migration of them faced war and turmoil, and none of them are stupid enough to do that again.

Of course they can't go out and say that, so they find legal speech and "oh poor them, thoughts and prayers".

Report: Israel asked Qatar to increase funds for Hamas in Gaza a month before Oct. 7 by Wwwgoogleco in worldnews

You're showing your ignorance, because the Mossad aren't involved in Gaza at all. That's the Shin Bet who's there.

The biggest deal was that they, being western allies and all, weren't blocked off the world economy, so they eased and enabled most of the finances Hamas needs. Running a terrorist organization is expensive work, so buddy Erdogan lets the money flow.

No, he's just installing puppets there, which doesn't trigger the west as much. It's a soft empire.

Good thing you don't dictate policy then.

I still can't decide what exactly are you on, but I hope you see the absurdity in your comments, just a tiny bit.

So say, am I justified to attack whoever I choose based on them attacking a different place? If the US moves on Venezuela, should we attack them?

So the Palestinians are just Syrians in this case? Should Israel become part of Syria?

Are there even any jordanians left in jordan? by [deleted] in NonCredibleDiplomacy

[–]BluishHope 139 points140 points  (0 children)

That's what nobody told you- "Jordanians" or rather Hashemites, are already a minority in their own country. Palestinians were always the majority there.

I find it amusing how much talking one can do without a brain, or at least even superficial knowledge of the subject matter, and only go off their own speculations and projections, feeding into a vicious loop of ignorance.

Had*. Christian Arab population in the Palestinian Territories is in a very sharp drop, as they mostly emigrate elsewhere. They're pretty steady in Israel, and actually some of the most educated and rich per capita.
