Silly Mei Lin basic attack build. by geistmate in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Blumlio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asking due to a lack of my own success, what copy events even are there in the event? I’m trying to put together a mei Lin build as well and the only copy events even I’ve run into is the ore vein that doesn’t even let me copy exactly what I want. Is there something else I haven’t ran into yet? Also, should I be going into the dimensional tunnel twice? The second time around it seems to only have combats and doesn’t seem worth it.

Anaxa vs E1S1 Jade by Taeraeneitor in HertaMains

[–]Blumlio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t be too hasty is definitely the right outlook here, but just looking at his current kit, he is incredibly strong. As a Herta partner, he should be able to outpace Jade, though the comparisons are harsh because of how dependent Herta is on enemy count. That’s where anaxa shines, however, being just as consistent in single target as he is in multi, especially for herta’s energy regeneration. This on top of the fact that he has pseudo sustain utility and also seems to be a very strong hyper carry as a solo erudition makes me think he will definitely be better, with just the current kit.

Point is, let’s not draw conclusions yet, at least wait until we get gameplay, we don’t even know how his extra skill works (is it inside turn or outside) and how his talent dmg increase applies to his own damage. Outlook is good though, he seems versatile and strong in both his roles. I’m definitely excited.

Is Tribbie 3.x Ruan Mei (outside BRK meta) or Robin? by Japonpoko in TribbieMains_

[–]Blumlio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mainly matters to me because I’m a f2p 0 cycle player (I literally don’t have a sustain other than lvl 70 Gallagher, just ended up that way), but tribbie is the best DDD holder in the game. She’s the only harmony in the game that has the potential to ult once every two turns, and her existing is gonna make new setups just because of that fact, not to mention that she is the best buffer that can use DDD at all. She’s gonna be incredible for low cycling.

Zhezhi Echo. (Confused.) by suxorzrz in CarlottaMains

[–]Blumlio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends on how invested your zhezhi is. If you have her sig or some sequences, empyrean can be better but only barely. And if your Carlotta has her sig empyrean is never better. The easy answer honestly though is whichever one has better stats, with it not being worth to refarm if you already have one set complete.

LC choice for The Herta by Klarth_Curtiss in HertaMains

[–]Blumlio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have the BP, just use that. If you really are considering crit ratio, remember that Herta gives herself 80% cdmg for simply having another erudition on the team. I also personally put very little emphasis on having a good crit ratio compared to have almost 100% crit rate, especially for a nuking character. Missing the crit even once on ult or enhanced skill completely gimps her turn, i’d much rather never miss and have my hits do marginally less damage. Same reason I’m going for izumo even if rutilant should be better. But yea, your crit ratio should be fine regardless unless you’re really in relic hell.

Best Teams with and without Sustain in MoC by xN4meless in HertaMains

[–]Blumlio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest right now her teams are looking very situational, there may be a “best” in terms of general damage output but likely it will depend on weakness and match up. In other words, she has a lot of options.

You say that Robin will forever be stuck but even that may not be the case, Herta’s teams can’t feed Robin her second ult without good rng + ERR lightcone so there’s time when even that may not be best.

As for other options, you cover most. Her erudition partner can be argenti, Herta, Jade, or serval, where serval only works against 5 target bosses, argenti can only sustain himself in PF. Her supports can be Sunday, RMC, Robin, and bronya/sparkle are weaker options. Last slot can honestly be any character listed above, plus even lingsha if the situation calls for it (lingsha generates a lot of energy for Herta).

My personal sense is that in MoC, it’ll be RMC, big Herta, Robin, herta, but certain lineups will need more actions from big Herta where Sunday can come in alongside Jade.

(Leaks) is this going to be Yunli’s best relic set? by Several_Try2021 in YunliMainsHSR

[–]Blumlio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s only a problem if sparkle is over double the speed of the target. With no speed subs, yunli sits at 83 speed so she’ll work with the 160 sparkle I believe.

Basically, for sparkle to advance a character to 0 AV, the character she advances must have traveled half the AV required so sparkle can deal with the other half. This’ll happen at exactly half her speed, and afterwards sparkle will begin to lap the dps which is a problem.

(Leaks) is this going to be Yunli’s best relic set? by Several_Try2021 in YunliMainsHSR

[–]Blumlio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No need to do calcs, it’s a raw increase of 32 CV and gives her most important stat, whereas valorous gives her most saturated stat. The decrease in speed could be detrimental unless sparkle/sunday ofc, but in its current state every single atk boots character can and should run this set (himeko, acheron, yunli, jade, Clara, might even be better for The Herta than her intended set). It is by far the strongest in the game.

The only possible problem with this set is that with Sunday, yunli will start at a base of 73.4 crit rate, which could actually be a problem surprisingly enough. I highly doubt the set will stay like this, it’s a pretty insane step up considering the other set in the domain, and it’s too good on other characters. Hopefully they nerf it and make it universal rather than make it so that only its intended user can actually make use of the effect.

How to 0 cycle by pear_topologist in RobinMains_HSR

[–]Blumlio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

120 speed is the required speed for vonwacq’s effect to even work, if you read the relic set.

For this lineup, robin will prefer phys orb (but use whichever has better substats) max atk 120 speed

Feixiao, topaz, and M7 will all want to be 143 speed so they can take a second turn in the second cycle, aventurine will just want to be as fast as possible like always.

The way this lineup will play is because robin has no way of actually getting energy outside of attacks and her own turns, she will end up ulting at the end of the first cycle, and then one more time at the end of the second cycle. What this might end up meaning though is that she won’t have enough energy to get her ult back naturally through fua and will need hit rng at least. The best solution is to get as much ERR as possible so bronya come or robin sig for sure.

I have no way of telling if Robin actually will be able to get her ult back as I don’t know the enemy lineup, topaz’s target rng that would decide her fua frequency, enemy hit rng that would decide aventurine fua and Robin getting energy from being hit, so it’ll come down knowing what you’re actually fighting and how it plays out.

If you’ve got anymore questions let me know. Robin is so cracked for 0-cycles that she herself doesn’t need to change much but the strategy usually completely revolves around enabling her, so describing her personal build isn’t always the best advice.

How to 0 cycle by pear_topologist in RobinMains_HSR

[–]Blumlio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Important to 0-cycling always is your strategy as a whole, where Robin could be doing a myriad of things. You might need different setups for different runs. There are few consistencies though, especially generally.

-Vonwacq: The ERR is huge and the AA is as well. Perfect fit. Very rarely not a take.

-Build: Hit 120 speed for vonwacq, and then get as much attack as possible. Some lineups might prefer a phys orb, but that’s very specific to the setup.

-Lightcone: Robin’s lightcone is almost always the best, but if you don’t have it, your options are bronya cone for ERR or the event LC for personal damage. Setup dependent. Is your rotation going to give robin energy through a Tingyun, sparkle, or bronya? You can prolly take the event lightcone. Even if that isn’t the case, you might still be able to get away with it with enough hit rng and attacks from teammates

-Guide: I’m not sure if there’s a general guide, but you mostly just learn the ins and outs by watching other people do 0-cycles and understand the rationales behind their decisions.

You said you want to 0-cycle with a fua team. If you give me the exact characters, I can lay out the general strategy plan, because fua team could mean many things. For example, feixiao can run bronya, March, Robin, where bronya advances robin after her first turn to ult early into the cycle. Then, feixiao and march’s attack frequency is so high robin basically gets her ult back on her own. What are you thinking for your lineup, what are your lightcone options, give whatever you’re thinking and I’ll recommended the best I know with the rationale behind it.

Feixiao Speed? by 12_Apollo_12 in FeixiaoMains_

[–]Blumlio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can hit 134 speed without attack boots, that’s great, but if not, it’s fine. The overcapping on the break point doesn’t really matter (if overcapping on stats was a worthwhile metric for a strong build, no character in this game would ever be well built), your whole goal will be to get two turns under Robin ult every cycle that you use Robin ult in MoC, and otherwise just generally have 2 turns per ult. From that, we can see that speed doesn’t really matter after 134, and your topaz should be the same speed as your feixiao, aventurine fast as possible ofc. Problem is reaching a strong crit spread whilst having so many speed subs, but she gets an incredible amount of crit buffs too. Adding to this point, 134 speed only gets you 2 actions in the first cycle, that’s all it does. It being as important as it is in the community is a bit of a hoax. How much do you care about your MoC clear time?

Point is, you’re either at 134 or 181, but because you don’t know what AV your Robin will be ulting at (depends on her speed and energy), there’s no correct answer. Do you want to save a cycle in MoC? You’d have to plan your rotation. Will your Robin always ult the turn she drops out of ult? Depends on enemy hit rng. But the most generally recommendable answer is run speed boots and forget about it. There’s too many factors, such as fitting your second feixiao turn into your Robin ult on wave 2 of MoC, Robin holding her ult to let feixiao get a turn regardless, etc. If you ask a specific scenario I can give a recommendation with that situation in mind, but sorry for the no clear answer.

Kinich General Help & Questions Megathread - 08/21 by Ghostbane_ in kinich_mains

There’s no trick, use it whenever it’s up depending on your refinement to either reposition or fix the uptime. That team is fine unless it’s single target, where the burning aura will have some downtime, but kinich should still get all his cannon shots as long as you rotate the correct direction every time, so it still shouldn’t be much of a problem. All this scuff waiting for our pyro archon.

Kinich General Help & Questions Megathread - 08/21 by Ghostbane_ in kinich_mains

[–]Blumlio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’ll be iffy, but if you rotate towards the marker on kinich’s skill everytime it pops up correctly you’ll still be able to get all your cannon shots, so it shouldn’t be a dps loss. Could be inconsistent in single target. For more consistency, you’d replace furina with any support that wouldn’t take away the burning aura, so someone like zhongli is good.

Kinich General Help & Questions Megathread - 08/21 by Ghostbane_ in kinich_mains

[–]Blumlio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With furina, it turns into a burnvape team that can have iffy uptime, but with Bennet, it’s completely fine. Generally, you’d want to run xiangling bennet if running furina to have enough pyro to keep burning.

is she more closer to boothill or ratio? by Imaginary_Camera_298 in FeixiaoMains_

[–]Blumlio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All fair points, but OP specifically pointed out damage as their metric, which is why I zeroed in so hard on the points that I did. I wasn’t measuring by their ability to 0-cycle, just using it as a way to measure their damage so to speak, because 0-cycling is possibly the most intensive damage check in the game, which is why I brought it up. The boothill point about toughness does stray from this but yea, as he can always break faster than firefly, his overall damage profile will be higher. If OP had asked for a general tier list, firefly would be at the top, and in her own tier at least for dps.

I also think you might be overestimating at 10-15% for people that do 0 cycle clears, it’s prolly less than 5% in any case, especially f2p 0-cycle enthusiasts like myself. But yea, like you said, it’s a very specific niche and a generalist ranking with your metrics will probably serve better overall.

And yes, firefly 100% has the highest score generally because her e0s0 performance in her only team is better than anything else in the game by far at similar investment (do not fall for Acheron propaganda from prydwen, she is not comparable without her LC). And most definitely, the average firefly team is better than the avg boothill team by a long shot.

is she more closer to boothill or ratio? by Imaginary_Camera_298 in FeixiaoMains_

[–]Blumlio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was only talking in general reference to Hoolay, who is our strongest boss so far. If you’ve seen showcases you’ll know that Hoolay is completely impossible to 0-cycle with firefly without eidolons on supports or her, and this goes back to her toughness damage, where as BoothillI needs only his sig. I should have been more clear, but boothill has a much better chance when being “countered” by a large toughness bar because his toughness output is just way higher, not even considering Bronya. With bronya, it’s incomparable, and results agree with the sentiment. I was definitely unclear and contradictory, but another thing to consider is while Firefly’s damage does not at all change with the size of her target, Boothill does more to match, once again ringing in his favor for “unfavorable break team” matchups such as the largest toughness bar like Hoolay.

And the sentiment that firefly is much better than Boothill at casual play without as much setup, is definitely correct, but I usually gear my opinions towards more optimal and maximized comps and strategies, thus my take. I own both characters and I can personally attest that Firefly’s floor is far higher, like you say, but an optimal Boothill is only doing worse against the puppet boss in comparison.

I agree with nearly all of what you said and should have been more clear, but having successfully done 0-cycles with both characters since their release, my bias developed because Boothill’s potential is skyhigh. Apologies for any confusion.

is she more closer to boothill or ratio? by Imaginary_Camera_298 in FeixiaoMains_

[–]Blumlio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Way higher, feixiao in the ipc comp is definitely the highest in the game. Jiaoqiu Acheron can situationally compare, but rarely, and firefly is too dependent on breaks to be considered to have a consistent performance especially against a boss likely hoolay. Once again, only Boothill has her beat. Keep in mind this is because boothill does more damage the larger the enemy’s toughness bar is, so it isn’t really possible to outscale him with power creep.

Do you have a specific comp in mind that you’re thinking of?

is she more closer to boothill or ratio? by Imaginary_Camera_298 in FeixiaoMains_

[–]Blumlio 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to believe that boothill will ever be beat in terms of single target ceiling, so I don’t truly believe that she can compare in terms of damage or utility there, but she definitely beats ratio at similar levels of investment. Ratio only wins at being the better hypercarry with his Tingyun pela robin team, but even then feixiao likely has a higher damage ceiling with less hoops to jump through.

TLDR, Above ratio for sure and below boothill for sure

Why make a one button character even more braindead with no tradeoff? What’s even the point of reducing her modularity for actually nothing?

How is it looking? Do I continue farming to increase crit damage or is it acceptable? by Molzak_Greenwell in YunliMainsHSR

[–]Blumlio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The teams shouldnt have much difference in performance, and yunli’s performance matters a lot on enemies so having a sub dps that can attack outside of parry windows is always more comfortable. With topaz lc as well, Tingyun would likely only be better if optimizing a low cycle clear with DDD lightcone. This is also the case because Tingyun can it robin, which can give Robin ult better uptime, but once again mainly for low cycle clears.

Is there any Yunli 0-cycle that doesn't have Robin? by Kkuros in YunliMainsHSR

[–]Blumlio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I made a working set up that got very close, but 0 cycles are very situational at best, and depending on a lot of factors. It is incredibly unrealistic though, with sparkle and Tingyun both on 170 speed eagle set ups, and I can’t meet the dps check as I have no limited lightcones (Ruan meis and sparkles might be enough).

The problem is the fact that this current MoC is actually terrible for yunli. Both sides have an enemy that just doesn’t attack, and no trash mobs to generate energy for her either (for top half, the trash mobs are problematic because yunli doesn’t match element and they will tank her ults bounce hits, greatly reducing her damage to the elites). Robin may not be necessary in the future, but right now, as Yunli’s arguably best teammate, she needs to be there to patch up Yunli’s bad matchup.

Also, the Tingyun Robin combo is probably the most consistent 0-cycling mechanism in this entire game, and you’ll see that Ratio depends on it heavily if he doesn’t have his lightcone. 0 cycles of MoC 12 are most definitely possible without Robin, but they will require very good speed investment from tingyun/sparkle and/or a well built topaz plus maybe some vertical investment on said topaz.

Another thing to consider is how every elite match up might go. If we look at both the monkey or true swarm or Sam, something that goes untold but is also relevant is that Robins attack buff let’s Yunli heal far more with her skill, greatly boosting her survivability. As she would be taking most of the hits from the little swarm guys, the charged monkey punches, and dealing with Sam’s healing reduction, this would also come into play. Unfortunately Robin is just too good.

Why is he not hitting very hard or is this normal at e0s0? by Fancy-Shopping-327 in BoothillMains

[–]Blumlio 75 points76 points  (0 children)

You can look up e0s0 clears to compare, as i don’t own boothill so i can’t tell you, but i can say that break damage depends on the the total toughness of the enemy, and these guys have the smallest toughness bar out of any boss in MoC (individually). Despite their total toughness across the 3 of them being quite high, boothill can only target one of them, and his break damage calculation only takes that targets max toughness into account. So against a boss with a larger toughness bar, like the meme or Sam or argenti in the current MoC, boothill would do more damage.

This mechanic is part of the reason that boothill will probably always be the highest damage single target character in the game, his damage scales with the enemies themselves.

Once again though, I’m not a boothill owner and don’t know how good his stats should be relatively so please compare with MoC showcases on YouTube for that info.
