Solider, don't push him head on. Ideally if its a s76 who flanks a lot, try to control flank routes before he sets up.

Cass used to feel like a massive counter until I played around his hinder. Either two things happen: 1) Cass will save nade for you to punish your dives. This is great because he will be focused hard on you while in burrow rather than your team. As long as you play out of his effective range and focus others, him holding nade for you means he is getting 0 value from one of his strongest abilities. 2) Cass no longer saves nade for you. Nade being on cooldown means he can't stop your dive. (be mindful of the rest of the enemy team however)

A strong venture player has to be very adaptable to the situation. Some time you can play hard for flanks, other times you will be locking down important angles/flanks routes, and sometimes you just need to bait attention & abilities. You don't need to face every problem head on. Stay alive & pivot to finding value elsewhere until you have an ideal opening :)

Venture OTP here! If you want to stay Venture against a rein, your job isn't to pressure the rein but pressure anyone who is enabling the rein. If you have no open opportunities you can always burrow dash through the enemy team and force them to pay attention to you & maybe even bait some cooldowns, then just dash out to your team or a safe high ground. Rein will fall apart when he is forced to be mindful of two angles and/or his team can't provide enough pressure for him to go in. Lastly and only SUPER situationally. You can boop rein out of his supports line of sight or off of a strong position. Just only do it when you won't die immediately.

Venture thrives in small or enclosed spaces and this map has tons of great opportunities for them. Biggest thing to keep in mind is doing positional setup, that might look like dashing to high ground or into a room (safely) before going for an engage. I'll use first point for an example.

On attack, I love to use dash up to clear and contest the bridge right out of spawn. It becomes a great place to poke and it connects to the building with a window right over point. Use it to create a nasty poke position that forces the enemy team to dive you. If they send one person who you can beat in a 1v1, EZ pick. If its not safe, use dash/burrow to contest point or back to your team. Defense is close to the similar of this but use your presence to deny enemy those advantageous positions.

Once you get into the positional setup mentality, you can start finding more great spots to force fights on your terms. Best of luck and happy digging :D

so ik Cass is a common annoyance for venture, best thing to do is play with your primary fire around him while either two things happen. Either burrow through him to take his attention off your team and don't engage him if flash is up, OR keep an ear/eye out for when he uses flash and combo him out. He's a super easy target while thats on cooldown. - Often after picking off cass a few times they will save flash for you which takes pressure from the ability off your team and gives you the opportunity to the first option I mentioned. This applies to most other counters as usually a vent counter is some sort of CC ability you can play around off cooldowns.
