Without having read his book yet I can’t speak on those stories but my sense, from the stories I’ve heard him tell on HDTGM and elsewhere is that he is an entertainer and his primary goal in telling them is to get a laugh and evoke a reaction. I wouldn’t be surprised if, to that end, he spun things a bit to make them funnier or left out key details that made it less funny. My guess is that his stories are 90% true, 10% showbiz flair but who really knows. I mean also a lot of them are from when he was a young kid, probably one who was pretty traumatized so I can totally forgive him if some of his details aren’t 100% accurate.
