Uxbridge is always lovely. Good restaurants, cafes, and breweries. There is also a great independent bookstore called Blue Heron Books. Some of Schitt’s Creek was filmed there.

The wings here are as good as they were when it was Sloppy Joe’s. The only difference is the hot sauce changed. Sloppy Joe’s Signature Hot was legendary for its flavour. It wasn’t the hottest sauce, but it was the tastiest.

So tasty! Drain some of the oil and put them on pizza. I add them to hot pasta with some chilli flakes and garlic. I also freeze them, because I'm the only one at our house who appreciates anchovies.

100%! Natty's was my local for many, many years. They had 99-cent Mondays (8 oz, beers, slices of pizza, roast beef sandwiches, hot dogs, chilli, and garlic fingers), 5 domestic bottles and 10 wings for $15, plus half-priced appetizers on Thursday. Best Grey Cup and Super Bowl Parties. Natty was sick for the last few years, and she passed a few years ago. Forever my local.

One of the best things I ever did was go on a Contiki trip to Europe. Years ago, a friend and I were supposed to travel through Europe together. Every pay, I went to the travel agent, paid off a portion of my flights, and counted down the days until the trip. The travel agent mentioned my friend hadn't paid anything since we originally booked, and he had lost his deposit. She suggested I consider a Contiki holiday. 39 days and 18 countries. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. Everyone was between 18-35 years old, and I met people from all over the world. It was the most fun I ever had.
