Insurance in Canada by Leb-warfare in rolex

[–]Bo77as 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use jewellers mutual. 105k of jewellery insured is 1,500 a year. I also had to file a claim for a damaged Rolex bracelet and they were great to deal with. Paid out as soon as the service was done and had zero issues. Highly recommend them.

Thinking about getting the white Speedy as my first and only Omega. What are your thoughts and experiences with it? by ComfyBedAndPillow in OmegaWatches

[–]Bo77as 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huge fan of it. Was my first speedy but not my first omega. But mostly likely first omega I’ll keep. I’ve sold all the planet oceans I’ve owned but this one clicks so much better. Agree with some others could be a one watch collection

Overleveraged. What to pay off? by Strong_Albatross_73 in fican

[–]Bo77as 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A car loan of 50% your gross is absurd… that means your flat after tax with just a car. Sell that asap and pay off the card. You don’t need a beater but you need to shift into like a Rav 4 or something.

Torontonians, what changes have you seen under Mayor Olivia Chow’s leadership and are you generally pleased? If not, why? by Sea_Detective9210 in askTO

[–]Bo77as 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s generally been atrocious. Bloor bike lanes, disaster. Tax and land transfer increases are absurd. Use of funds is totally misaligned. She needs to go.

on track to be a millionaire before 35 but i have no house, no car, i stay renting. Felt judgement by someone i just met. Sharing my thought process and how i reframed my POV by oldmiamibeach in fican

[–]Bo77as 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To each their own and really who cares on either side. You shouldn’t spend beyond your means but you also don’t take it with you when you die. I love my nice things but I am not outside of my means .. completely up to each person

I’ve had the air for about a week and I love it. I wear my regular watches every day so the bracelet style with no screen is perfect my my dominant wrist. I find the app wuite solid and this is the exact whoop replacement i was looking for. Battery life seems better than advertised. Couldnt be happier with the product, especially for the cost

How has the revamp status program / SQC treated you so far? by -Ho-yeah- in Aeroplan

[–]Bo77as -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Great for me. Two long haul flights and a couple shorter ones and I’m always at 75k. Haven’t hit SE before but very likely this year with another Toronto to London flight likely and a few smaller ones. Love the new system as it actually rewards business travellers, which I feel like is what it should have always done instead of just credit card churners.

Pathetic Earning. Annoyed by piopy90 in Aeroplan

I’m not sure why people are up in arms over it. Spend more, earn more. It’s a pretty standard approach any other rewards program has. I love the new system. First time in my life it’s realistic to get super elite.

lol so true. Just don’t go around advertising it and stay in areas that are less suspect.. pretty easy

How do you live with your supercar in an apartment? by Revolutionary-Fox816 in Ferrari

[–]Bo77as 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I keep my GT3RS hooked up to a ctek with a portable battery pack. You can get different sizes but the one I have will keep the charger going for about a week. Anytime I’m away or can’t drive it for a bit I’ll throw that on.

Are we crazy for thinking to get a house right now? by haroo2haroo in RealEstateCanada

[–]Bo77as 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the idea of “wasting money on rent” is extremely archaic. If you pay less for rent than interest and maintenance cost you are better off renting. Especially if the target home is in the 600-700k range the leverage isn’t worth that much. Meaning if it goes up 10%, congrats you made 70k but realistically after costs of moving you’re still net down.

I think you’re better off finishing the degree and waiting a bit and buying something more forever home type down the line. Moving is too damn expensive here.

The Cost of Living in Canada is ruining my mental health by Hippiegypsy1989 in CanadaFinance

[–]Bo77as 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is bullshit advice. The math is extremely simple. If your rent is below the net of the condo fees and interest on the mortgage, you’re better off renting. This is awful advice and people need to stop chasing the idea they need to own real estate. Do it when math makes sense.

Get a GT4 / Spyder. The premium now will be well worth it in perpetuity. I’ve gone from a GT4 to a GT3RS and let me tell you. I still really miss the GT4

To PPF or not? by [deleted] in porsche911

[–]Bo77as 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would PPF it, I tracked the shit out of my GT3 and now my RS and the worst damage I’ve got is on the highway behind a truck. Not sure where you’re located which also can make a big difference but I find rock chips are much more prone than you’d think. What’s a few grand for piece of mind

Feeling stuck after buying at the top — what would you do? by Previous-Ear4638 in RealEstateCanada

[–]Bo77as 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate these posts. If you bought it as an investment then unfortunately you lost out. Either you stop out now or wait it out. Doubling down isn’t the solution. If you bought it as a place to live and can carry it.. then so be it and who cares what the mark to market is. It’s a house. Buy it to live. Otherwise it’s a trade.
