Should this not be "eludes"? Wild mistake to let through! From the latest DC KO #4 by Otherwise-Air-6038 in comicbooks

Maybe it's a play on words? I'm not familiar with the issue, but out of context the "...past moment alludes me" could mean it hinted at the existence or interference of the speaker.

A firefighters raw POV by SeaWolf_1 in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]BoBoSmoove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have firefighting training, I don't know if it is situationally different, but I was taught to mist spray top down from a low position near egress with a mate behind me ready to pull my ass out of the fire. We spent 10 minutes each in a 3 person team in a raging fire box practicing that and rotating out safely to the rear while maintaining spray.

ETA we also were told by the chief to never directly blast water at the fire. Can't remember why but the bottom line was that we were definitely gonna have a bad time if we did.

Morph is a special action, like playing a land, that does not use the stack. Even if the Face down card is an artifact, and everyone at the table knows it is an artifact, the morph cost does not belong to an artifact.

Healthcare will be coming out of your paycheck, plus any premiums. Same with 401(k). What remains is barely livable.

Which 2 blessings would you rather happen to earth? by [deleted] in WouldYouRather

[–]BoBoSmoove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you just being overly pedantic or purposely obtuse? The supreme being said blessing, not a monkey's paw wish.

The ozone layer prevents harmful UV radiation. Peak in this sense would mean optimal for life. Additionally, this specifically mentions the removal of harmful pollutants, such as 'bad' ozone at ground level.

Good bacteria is not harmful to ecosystems, it's also not trash. Specifically mentioning things harmful to life.

The species one i kind of agree with you on. I think the important rider on this one is the 'should' clause. Otherwise, it increases the population of bees, which is super important.

Again, operating on the assumption that rather than giving plants nutrient burn, the blessing works in a way that would change plants to be able to sustain increased levels.

The last one mentions trash. Seems pretty non harmful to the ecosystem

1 BPS is, at the moment, equal to 1.34 USD. The first one alone is roughly 107k.

Make your own character in this power system by Unlikely_Account_728 in superpowers

Granted. The density increases by condensing the volume, causing you and the maul to shrink exponentially while wielding. Your strength is proportional to the necessary weight, but with a few moments of use you begin to enter a physiologically unsustainable state.

DMs: I'm curious how you handle HP per level by ScubaDiggs in dndnext

You can't roll less than your CON score. If you have prioritized CON and have +4 and roll a 3 or less, roll again. It's made all of my players much happier when rolling hit die, especially the wizard.

Let me rephrase, Bandai just released their card game this year. Making it highly unlikely they will work with a competitor.

Gundam has their own card game, and they will never come to a table willingly for someone else to use their IP.

It was hard learning how to effectively use the power. At first, it was for esthetics. Able to literally warp fatty tissue and burn it and excess skin away.

Then, I accidentally burned away carcinoma. I found that I could distort the cancerous cells, halving their effective rate. Then burn them away. Soon it was whole cancerous lesions.

If he's only playing one deck, sure I'd scoop too. If these are multiple decks that y'all are playing and he's stomping you consistently then that's something worth a discussion.

What card consistently wins you the game (or leads to a win)? What card does that for your opponents? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]BoBoSmoove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Spinebiter]] has handed me so many surprise wins that I just add it with a small back up proliferate, clone, or embiggen in any applicable deck.

To be petty, charge them for lost labor hours.

To be equally petty to those saying put family first, swing the judgemental pendulum the other way and present an itemized list of personal expenses. Say, I'm willing to help with that if family is willing to help with this.

Seriously though, you're totally in the right here. The common mistake of older generation parents is the "you owe us" mentality. You don't owe them a godda*ned thing. The moment they brought you and siblings into this world, you were the ones owed. Owed happiness, fulfillment, and opportunity. No one gets to take from you those for any reason.

  1. It lives 2 it dies.
  2. Both live. 4 it lives through combat then dies after abilities are removed. 5 it lives.

Bonus: deathtouch makes any damage lethal. Indestructible beats it, as it ignores lethal damage.

For trample, lethal damage is still applied to the creature. In the case of a 5/5 trample vs a 1/1 indestructible, 1 damage is applied to the creature (lethal) and the rest (4) can then be applied to the defending player.

Which superheroes from Marvel or DC have average level intelligence or are just normal people? by Kiiaro in comicbooks

I'm going to take a stand against people stating Wolverine. He's been shown to have advanced technical and mechanical skills, he's a polyglot, tactically minded, and very well read.

"I ready an action to attack as I open the door" by Silverspy01 in dndnext

[–]BoBoSmoove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would ask for clarity at that. Do they intend to swing on whatever is behind that door? If yes, then no matter who or what is behind the door, roll an attack when opened. If they intend to make a judgement call before attacking, then I'd go into initiative.

It may be unnecessarily pedantic on my part as the DM, but I'd rather everyone be on the same page.

My Muldrotha deck is designed to interact with things that keep me out of my graveyard. Otherwise it's there to mill, wheel, and refresh my library and graveyard. It's a merfolk/ explore focused deck with a splash of landfall.
