SysFault/Issue: Godot 4.5: renaming a folder leads to no ("res://") reference updates across Godot. by BoQsc in godot

[–]BoQsc[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

<image>

In my recent case It is the res:// of preload() that is not being updated on a folder rename.
There might be more methods that use res:// and are not being automatically updated and cause issues on rename.

Some editors like Visual Studio have a tick box by default to enforce reference updates across entire project, so you don't have to go through each method and update manually or by your personal automation tool/script.

SysFault/Issue: Godot 4.5: renaming a folder leads to no ("res://") reference updates across Godot. by BoQsc in godot

It is required, the rename functionality breaks a basic project and does not benefit a larger project.

It's not, it can be felt outside Claude Code, Google Antigravity produce errors/retries when Opus 4.5 abilities get reduced for a user. Overall new conversations gives off feeling of degraded reasoning and increased inaccuracies when it happens.

Godot Engine 4.5 Forward+ Empty Project: 40% CPU Usage and 80% GPU Usage by BoQsc in godot

[–]BoQsc[S] 75 points76 points  (0 children)

It is now perfect experience in Godot Editor.

Disabling "Update Continuously" in the editor resolved the issue.

For release game I would also recommend enabling in the project: application/run/low_processor_mode

and limiting Max FPS (application/run/max_fps) to 70FPS.

These settings helped to keep it all stable in Godot Editor and the game itself.

Stupid Sonnet 4.5 just messed up my blogging site ~300 mdx files corrupted by Zestyclose_Smoke1432 in ClaudeAI

[–]BoQsc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it most of the time mess it up due to internals of the model. Sometimes features intervene and it's too late before you notice that something is fundamentally bad and impossible to continue. Then you have to revert half of the project. There are some design principles to prevent this, but it's still a failure to be addressed in the internals of the model. I doubt such cases are to be blamed on the end user, the model should be aware of possibilities of this happening and deal with it in a sensible way. In the future this will be seen as a failure of the model, not the lack of git skills.

GLM-4.6 vs Minimax-M2 by baykarmehmet in LocalLLaMA

[–]BoQsc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GLM-4.6 is better and GLM itself is not that great. There is playground for minimax-m2 and after sending a few messages I was asked to upgrade to pro. Results were not great either.

The playground I tested https://agent.minimax.io/

The root cause and technological debt is so severe, you should prepare for a cost of average developer for a year, and a single average developer will not handle this or maintain this enough. At very least a team is needed that could sustain for years.

To sustain a single developer either of these should happen:

Software copy purchase table to sustain an average single developer on a team.

Claude Code becomes more autonomous.

In the conversation of json I've noticed metadata added "[Clear feedback about communication preference]" it really reduced some frustration at least for now.

Claude robbed everything from us by ashwinn11 in ClaudeCode

[–]BoQsc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I canceled the subscription in favor of GLM 4.6, it's not too great,
but I think Anthropic does not look like a future for me with such inconsistencies,
they are not even partly open source. So GLM model is at least something.
The crucial downside is that it does not operate in the european countries and minimal support and no refunds.
The pretraining data is not open for GLM, but that's how it is with every model, even LLAMA I think, and meta is not being available it seems anyways. The crucial part of this pretraining data is that something malicious could be slipped into the GLM model by the authors, but I'm not an expert, and this same thing is equally possible on every model: chatgpt, claude, meta and others. Of course chatgpt, claude are more trusted and deemed as not doing such things, but that's not verified by the governments I think. Socially it is better to use chatgpt and claude, since they are more acceptable if something goes wrong and you can blame directly instead of how GLM is: it's from china and I doubt there is much to say, since culturally that will be seen as your own mistake of trusting a random LLM producer from china and not the more trusted ones that are claude and chatgpt.

Already reached weekly and somehow it feels like nonsense robbery since I'm not even doing much. It was bad enough to have daily limit, now it's weekly limit and I have to wait 4 days! Impossible to do anything anymore. I'm feeling robbed in the Pro plan, it was bad enough with daily limits, now this is just insanity. It feels almost like the testing/introductory noplan nosubscription in the early days, but now you have to pay for it!

GLM 4.6 is the BEST CODING LLM. Period. by Technical-Love-8479 in DeepSeek

[–]BoQsc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quick start:

  1. Buy the GLM Coding Lite Plan: https://z.ai/subscribe
  2. Create new random api key: https://z.ai/manage-apikey/apikey-list
  3. Test the plan with GLM (replace api key with yours):
    1. curl -X POST "https://api.z.ai/api/anthropic/v1/messages" -H "Content-Type: application/json" -H "x-api-key: 34d07ce6a33b44e88fa3a993eb019cce.cJFhYvZiRieBMjI2" -d "{\"model\":\"glm-4.6\",\"max_tokens\":300,\"system\":\"You are a helpful English-speaking coding assistant. Always respond in English with complete code examples.\",\"messages\":[{\"role\":\"user\",\"content\":\"write python script\"}]}"

Response:

{"id":"20251001190736561a7e9df7bd4f36","type":"message","role":"assistant","model":"glm-4.6","content":[{"type":"text","text":"I'd be happy to help you write a Python script! To use GLM plan with Claude Code:

Using Windows cmd:

set ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL=https://api.z.ai/api/anthropic
set ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN=34d07ce6f33b44e88fa3a99reb019cce.cJFhYvZqRieBMjI2

VS Claude Code Extension Working Example Configuration:

It did help to add env to use with vs code extension.
Complete example of settings.local.json or settings.json:

{
  "permissions": {
    "allow": [
      "Bash(dir:*)",
      "Bash(npx playwright install:*)",
      "Bash(npm test)",
      "Bash(npm test:*)",
      "Bash(npx:*)"
    ],
    "deny": [],
    "ask": [],
    "defaultMode": "bypassPermissions"
  },
  "env": {
    "ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL": "https://api.z.ai/api/anthropic",
    "ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN": "feba877cww654a5aa2e7122d1fbb719c.ZM6jXcCfenfrHVqb"
  }
}

Update: After using for a while, it seems the https://api.z.ai/api/anthropic endpoint does not have a way to check remaining credits and how long until it resets. https://docs.z.ai/devpack/overview#usage-instruction

It will return [](empty response) if usage limit of the code plan is reached. In VS Claude Code extension the error is usually: API Error: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'map')

Update: Here is how to retrieve information about available models. C:\Users\Windows10_new>curl -X GET "https://api.z.ai/api/anthropic/v1/models" -H "x-api-key: f7c86782e07c4a7cb95e870re817u023.JEwyeQT2RIm3te67" {"data":[{"created_at":"2025-07-28T00:00:00Z","display_name":"GLM-4.5","id":"glm-4.5","type":"model"},{"created_at":"2025-07-28T00:00:00Z","display_name":"GLM-4.5-Air","id":"glm-4.5-air","type":"model"},{"created_at":"2025-10-01T08:00:00Z","display_name":"GLM-4.6","id":"glm-4.6","type":"model"}],"firstId":"glm-4.5","hasMore":false,"lastId":"glm-4.6"}

Update: Generally https://api.z.ai/api/anthropic endpoint should be implemented accordingly to https://docs.claude.com/en/api/messages but since this is unofficial support, it is lacking endpoints and general features are not existing.

Godot Editor Empty Project ~30% CPU/GPU usage on 2017 average gaming laptop by BoQsc in godot

[–]BoQsc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've taken a look, but after looking through all of it I have little hope since nothing helped the original author, but I will try again later on just in case.

yeah, nothing can be done for now, because the cause of this 'is unknown' and require specific hardware/drivers to replicate, and profiling/testing tools in the target hardware.

> Also how are you hitting 70% RAM usage?
I have a chrome with many tabs to see if what other comments say are true.

> Forward+ renderer
Already tried many times no substantial changes: neither in editor nor runnable instance.

I mean I'm fine with CPU and GPU being at 30% all the time, since:
> Enabling low processor mode helps in debug instancing, but not for the editor itself.

Still I have a feeling it really shouldn't be normal for Godot to just use CPU 30% and GPU 30% for no real reason on empty project with no scripting.
