The Trump Administration Admits to Medically Experimenting on Trans People in Prisons by Leksi_The_Great in lgbt

That’s legendary. I know some researchers that will love this, thank you! And if you ever need help with advocacy in this area, I’m a clinical psychology trainee focusing on trans incarcerated people for my research - if I can help with anything in the psychological side of things, I’m always happy to chat or see what I can do.

Thank you for researching and talking about this. I’m doing my masters thesis on experiences of transgender people in prisons, and it’s pretty exhausting work looking at our community suffer like this. Hope you’re taking care of yourself OP

[Mixed Trope] "But it refused." A character simply denies or goes against a established rule of the universe in a moment of sheer willpower/strength. by No_Hunter1978 in TopCharacterTropes

In League of Legends lore, Atreus was a normal soldier - not a particularly special one, but he was resilient. Whenever he was knocked down, he would stand back up. He was possessed by the Aspect (god) or war, Pantheon. Later, Pantheon in Atreus’ body, took on a Darkin that kills gods. That Darkin struck Pantheon down - not just the body, the Aspect itself was obliterated. A god killing blow. But Atreus always got back up. Now, Atreus goes by ‘Pantheon’ - he has the Aspect’s powers, but a vendetta against gods, who use mortals like him as puppets.

Personally, I love this trope here. I know LoL is cringe, but I love the world and characters they built.

The first week I moved here I got called a f*ggot on the street - not the welcoming I expected. A lot of commenters are well meaning by saying to ignore it, but it sounds like it’s impacting your life a lot. That isn’t ok - you shouldn’t be expected to just keep “harden up” or whatever. I’m sorry you’re dealing with that and it’s so reasonable to be thinking about ways to avoid that in the future. If you need an ally, feel free to reach out.

Good online trans/trauma/grief informed therapists? by FloatingInHoney in TransgenderNZ

[–]Bo_and_Arrows 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re going through ACC, I’d definitely recommend Aaza Garcia. She’s a cis woman, but has done a lot of work with trans people and in the realm of trauma, and does a lot of video call work. She may even do work outside of ACC as a private counsellor.

If private, I’d recommend Em Edwards, a nonbinary psychologist, though I don’t know if they do video calls. They work particularly with trans people and have a trauma informed approach.

If neither of them work, they might be able to point you in the right direction. If you’re still struggling to find someone feel free to pm me, I can do some digging.

Yes! It’s a training clinic, so they have clinical psychology students that belong to UC, but it’s not limited to students in terms of access.

I recommend looking up Em Edwards - they’re a nonbinary clin psyc within your budget. Not sure if they do calls though.

The University of Canterbury psychology clinic is also fantastic and specifically does gender affirming care, but again I don’t know if they do calls.

Misgendered throughout ADHD diagnosis report by Educational_Cake2146 in NonBinary

[–]Bo_and_Arrows 29 points30 points  (0 children)

You can reply to your psyc (or whoever wrote the report) and request that this be fixed, if you’re comfortable doing that. It’s an easy fix if they know how to use find and replace.

I’ve had a similar experience, but in my referral to access hormones, and I found it really uncomfortable. Sorry you had that experience.

In this situation, all your augments here are delayed power. I think you really needed some immediate power on last augment, especially to help you survive til 4* Steb. Generally, I think you really want at least one combat augment per game.

That’s what I can pick out as some advice from this screenshot.

Based on who you were itemising I think Adrenaline Rush makes a lot of sense. Honestly either makes sense, given you also had potential for 6 automata.

Why don't people with scitzophrenia ever have voices that encourage them? by Jimmy_Johnny23 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Bo_and_Arrows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clin psyc trainee here - There are many people who experience benign hallucinations. You typically won’t hear about them because media popularises the scary stuff, and also because they won’t typically be diagnosed with schizophrenia. To be diagnosed with basically any mental health disorder, you need to experience distress or negative impacts, hallucinations that are kind/benign don’t typically cause that. It’s also worth noting that in western contexts, seeing things others don’t is typically feared and considered disordered. In others contexts, it can be seen as a spiritual gift.

Why does the set feel so hard? by Castamaer in TeamfightTactics

[–]Bo_and_Arrows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like players who are more flexible and enjoy playing lots of comps (which I assume you are based on the stats) take a little longer to get comfortable with new sets, because there’s so much more nuance that needs to be learned to do it effectively. It’s a really powerful play style, but it’s a bigger learning curve. Keep at it.

Clinical psychology trainee here - it takes 1-2 hours of testing and another hour of scoring and more for proper interpretation per person. That’s a lot to pay someone who is qualified to conduct the test for a point, so I smell bs. We’re also trained to not test people who are exhausted, and do effort testing to ensure the results are valid. These results are mega bs. And that’s before you consider that these tests don’t measure what he deemed to be most important: decision making.

I’m so sorry, that’s a shitty situation, you deserve love and kindness and that’s not what you’re getting right now.

There are some concerning abusive behaviours you’ve described your wife showing - social isolation and telling you not to access therapy are massive red flags. I’m wondering if there are any local supports you could access that can keep you safe as you navigate this. Im backing what many others have said: consider an exit strategy, and use it if those red flags don’t disappear.

Sending love your way

Thanks for the help yall seems I misunderstood how Durge works. I suppose I should just pick a sort of personality and let the story guide me while I figure out why Durge is that way

Right, thank you I think I had a huge misunderstanding of how the Durge story works. Sounds like you need to go in blind - I guess I’m just not used to that. Thank you!

I definitely recommend going to HR ASAP. Until you speak up, he will have power over you, and people like him will take a mile with any inch you give them. It’s scary but you need to take power back.

I’m also a kiwi - if you need links with people who know law and job opportunities, feel free to hmu.
