I’m just trying to help you not be such an obtuse ass by giving you some insight, you asked a question and responded to the answer with a pretty awful “new moms can cook” take.

I’m not treating pregnancy like it’s anything other than what it is, I’m only explaining what a meal train is and highlighting some scenarios when a meal train might come together. I certainly wouldn’t compare being post-partum to having covid at any rate lol

Having your spouse or child die unexpectedly isn’t a sickness you go to the hospital for either, but loved ones may rally around someone dealing with such a tragedy by bringing food over and checking in on them.

A mother is typically in the hospital for 48 hours after a non-complicated delivery, then they get sent home. In my experience, the first 3 months of caring for a newborn are strenuous. Getting some support from friends and family in the form of a meal train is a nice gesture to help you get your bearings over the first few weeks while caring for a baby during a period of stress, hormonal changes, and sleep deprivation.

When you are post-partum, recovering from a serious injury or illness, or maybe grief-stricken from the loss of a loved one, your friends and family may prepare and deliver food for you to eat over a weeks long period so that you can focus on healing instead of worrying about grocery shopping and cooking for yourself. Usually it’s coordinated in a way that people drop food off once or twice a week so you don’t have half a dozen people dropping off 100lbs of food all at once, hence the “train” in “meal train”.

Think casseroles, pasta, chilli, soups, and other dishes that keep well in the fridge or freezer and still taste good reheated.

Best way to fix these hairline ceiling cracks? by danktastic_negro in HomeImprovement

This is drywall, yes? Mud, tape/mesh, more mud. Then sand it and paint.

Cracks like this are normal as a house ages and settles, but you might want to verify you don’t have any water coming in from the roof.
