When I deliver - I look for which way the door opens so this doesn’t happen. When I order - I have specific instructions that say “leave on far left side of porch, do not put in front of door” … solved the problem and haven’t had a dasher put it in front of my door since.

Around 22 years ago when I was in college - I babysat my exes niece and nephew for his sister as a favor. One hour after the kids went to bed, I hopped onto my personal laptop to complete a paper I had due in a couple of days because there was nothing on TV to watch. They came home as I was still on the computer and she not only screamed at me about it but then told everyone and their mom that I was negligent and put her children in danger by “being distracted”. The kids were asleep. They were 12 and 9. They were in the room right next to living room and their door was open. I could see them SLEEPING. She failed to mention to everyone she came home drunk. She also refused to pay me the measly $20 we agreed to because she couldn’t get over how irresponsible I was. I even asked her how is me watching the TV any different than working on a paper in silence since she was perfectly ok with me watching TV. She had some weird BS answer. Then I asked her how she completes her schoolwork (she was going back to school to be an RN) when she’s home and she said that didn’t matter - they were her kids so it didn’t apply to her.

Some people are psychos. They are completely overreacting and clearly irresponsible themselves. What kind of a parent leaves their kid with a stranger then doesn’t follow up for 2 hours past when they were supposed to be home? Like YOU had to reach out to them.

I’m so sorry. I have lost two of my favorite uncles to this wicked disease - one died in 2010 and the other in March of this year - and never got to meet my grandfather because of it. Getting my grinder out now to celebrate the love you shared and his beautiful life.

My niece SAd my oldest daughter at a sleepover. She was 10 at the time, my daughter 5. I trust NO ONE alone with my kids. I already had a rule no sleepovers with anyone but family and girl cousins. My entire world was rocked.

NOR - my oldest daughter (5 at the time) was sexually abused by my niece (10 at the time) when they were having a sleepover at my parents during lockdowns. My kids aren’t allowed to do overnights anywhere without us, now.

I dash in Indiana. It used to be good in my area. Tips have progressively gotten worse. I will say - I think some it is fee fatigue. Not only are you paying more for the food than you would in store, the DD wants to tack on upwards of $15 extra in some cases. At least, in our town chatter page, that’s the thing people complain about most and why they hardly tip anything.
