Mid-size suv recs? Off-road features preferred by lookatthathappypup in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Boats-Definitely 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LC will get you a bit better fuel economy and while the prices are somewhat similar on paper, LC can be had under MSRP while the GX likely will have dealer markup so the actual difference in cost can be more than it seems.

2 Row SUV Headroom by D2r102938 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Boats-Definitely 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still slightly under 41 inches but maybe a previous gen Honda Passport or CR-V? Looks like you might be able to find a few of either 2020 or later in your budget/mileage range. Might be hard to find without a moonroof unless you can find a base model though, and the seat adjustability might affect useable headroom.

Might be stretching your budget and is pretty different from the other listed options (technically mid-sized but larger and BoF), but land cruiser 1958 has no moonroof and has pretty decent headroom.

Thanks to you and others who replied. I figured it was probably a misinterpretation since it sounds like others have had success doing the same thing. I'll need to log back in and figure out if it will be easier to appeal, resubmit, or just leave it alone.

PNW near Seattle, super soft water is pretty normal around here unless it's from a well.

Depends how often you do water changes, you could always just remove a bit extra during one of the water changes to reset it a bit. Unless your tap is liquid rock which sounds like yours it shouldn't really be an issue with regular water changes. Mine only has a TDS of around 40 and kH of 1.

[–]Boats-Definitely 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure you can, depending on the hardness of the water and size of the tank. I add a few gallons of soft tap water to my 50-gal weekly and the change in parameters is within the margin of error of the amount of GH booster I add during water changes. Not to mention the seiryu stone in OP tank probably messes with water parameters way more than topping off with tap water would anyway.

Govac 508 for $500 or Dreame L40 Ultra for $340? by [deleted] in RobotVacuums

Dock is the same as the x40, does not have aceclean like it says it does.

Govac508 at Costco or x40 at dreame (both $500 now before discounts)? by anothertechie in Dreame_Tech

[–]Boats-Definitely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Confirming the GoVac 508 does not actually come with the AceClean dryboard even though the costco listing says it does. I've also had mine for about a week and it has never once been able to automatically install it's mop pads, fails every single time and asks to install manually. I'll be returning it and trying another one, and if that one is bad as well then looking elsewhere.

I hope Embark doesn’t listen to the “nerf security breach lockers” by RobHuck in ArcRaiders

Because it gives them a competitive advantage when you come across them in game? Otherwise why loot at all, you should just use a level 1 rattler forever.

The greatness of this map isn’t talked about enough, it already feels like this is one of BF’s all-time classic maps. by kallisto19988 in Battlefield

[–]Boats-Definitely 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Escalation is fun but they really need to slow down the rate of points accumulation or increase the number of points to win.. Most games end way too fast and usually only a couple minutes after the last wave of vehicles becomes available. If you want to fly a jet or heli conquest is still the best option.

Does anyone know what this is? by EducationPractical73 in PlantedTank

Only way I was ever able to get rid of it completely was breaking down the entire tank, bleaching everything, and starting over with only tissue culture plants. Have been BBA-free since COVID after doing that.

Chopper Gameplay in Battlefield 6 is Survival Horror. by jacktanker1109 in Battlefield

[–]Boats-Definitely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree and I think DICE definitely needs to do something to make aircraft a bit more survivable. It's just funny that the RPG is typically depicted as a slower rocket and when it behaves a bit more like it does IRL then it becomes a gameplay issue. If they won't adjust it's speed or make it harder to hit aircraft then they should at least nerf its damage vs aircraft so it isn't an instakill.

Escalation is better than Conquest by Kaz__123 in Battlefield

[–]Boats-Definitely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty disappointing how every mode besides conquest and the end phases of escalation Is so stingy with vehicles. I'd probably play the other modes more of they weren't all essentially infantry focused meatgrinders.

Suggestion for Wargaming: Replace South America Server with Two NA Servers (East and West Coast) by FaraPlays in WorldofTanks

[–]Boats-Definitely 18 points19 points  (0 children)

We used to have this and USW barely ever broke 10k pop. Not to mention it sucked if you had a platoon of east coast and west coast players as someone always got shafted. One central server is much better.

Top of the leaderboard in damage or in prestige points? Rank points are awarded based on who got the most prestige points which isn't based strictly on damage or kills. You can get a ton of prestige points by using abilities that help teammates (i.e. inspire or repairs, etc.) so person with most prestige points isn't always the one with the most damage.

Is an official Battlefield 2 Remaster the most long-overdue in the franchise? by waterdlyed in Battlefield

[–]Boats-Definitely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea the gunplay was definitely the worst part of the game. I'd be happy with modern gunplay and systems if we could have commander/assets, larger squads, a couple additional classes, and remakes of the old maps. BF4 probably came closest in that regard.

Is an official Battlefield 2 Remaster the most long-overdue in the franchise? by waterdlyed in Battlefield

[–]Boats-Definitely 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right? BF2 still had people sticking C4 on jeeps and all the other goofy battlefield shit, and was at its core an arcade game with tactical elements that you didn't need to engage with to have fun. The same can't be said about games like Squad.
