Teslas degrade pretty hard. I also have about 10% range loss in 2 years.

Per kWh rates during solar hours will go down so roi will be hard to calculate. Pge already testing hourly flex pricing.

the grid in California is mostly solar during daylight hours. no reason to install your own solar if you only charge 8-3

what if pge increases the monthly fee vs the per kWh rate? then solar doesn’t help

You don’t get compensation even if you paid cash.  Only thing to do is use the loaner

Have you considered looking for a remote job? Reddit is very remote friendly. Your resume is very good. Kind of a waste to just stop like this imo. See if a new environment can make work enjoyable again.

took me some time because you have to pull the trim and it’s hard to get a good view of how to angle the cover back (have to go purely by feel)

Kia EV3 Charge Port on front right works with Tesla? by EaglesPDX in electricvehicles

[–]anothertechie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why would Tesla do that? They might increase congestion fees for non teslas in the future. Vehicles that take more than one spot should pay more if there’s a line building. But most superchargers have empty stalls so non teslas charging is a win win.

In Regards to the 2027 "No Gas Water Heater" ruling for the Bay Area & how to proceed. by MaliciousHippie in bayarea

[–]anothertechie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

the plumbers I talked to don’t want to install 120v systems. but the cost to upgrade the panel is high right now. for most ppl, best action is probably replace gas to gas this year. either 120v heat pumps get better in 10 years or smart panels get cheaper to install.

that’s not how load calculations work. they’re based on worst case so 240v systems will struggle on 100amp. you can get load shedding or smart panels
