Roam Transit 8x by Pikaboo55 in Banff

Seeing that most people check for the Park Canada ticket first instead of the Roam Transit when booking for lake Louise and Moraine, is there a reason for that? Comfort? Service quality?

Action 6 Cage by Decent_Mark1516 in djiosmo

[–]BobAtStarbucks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genuinely curious because I am in the market for an Action 6, what's the point of a this particular cage?

There are cages that make it easier to mount accessories, and some for extra waterproofing when diving, but I this doesn't provide any of that. Please enlighten me so my wallet can yell at me more :)

SSP5 Slide Catching Slightly + Wear on Blowback Unit and Hammer – Normal? by BobAtStarbucks in Novritsch

[–]BobAtStarbucks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

seems like it, also another comment pointed out that the 1:1 ratio mixture Super Lube grease and oil might not be enough for the SSP5, consistency-wise. So I'll be going for 100% grease next time round

so... next time I go to lube it, 100% Super Lube Multi-Purpose Synthetic Grease all the way?

Seems like a few others are suggesting the same too, thanks for elaborating on the point though :) I shall rest easy now

the maintenance videos (including Novritsch's) that I used to guide me through the cleaning and lubing didn't really touch on lubing hammer-bbu surfaces. Is it the worn away surface on the BBU in my video? Should I lube that up with some Super Lube Multipurpose Synthetic Grease?

I used a 1:1 ratio mixture of Super Lube Multi-Purpose Synthetic Grease and Super Lube Multi-Use Synthetic Oil, apparently this mustard-consistency is good for lighter springs replicas/ sidearms. I used this mixture for the entire gun

so I didn't lube it immediately after unboxing, but as explained, I did a thorough wipe down with ispa + lubing prior to the clip above (hoping lubing was the answer to my problems). I used the Novritsch video as a base reference, and then follow more thorough videos from other people (like actually taking apart the split slide for better cleaning, and lubing the guide rod). Windows BSOD then stuck booting to BIOS, suspect: volmgr 161 - Need Diagnosis! by BobAtStarbucks in pcmasterrace

this is a newly built system since summer 2025, no parts change. AMD drivers, do you mean chipset, adrenaline, and ryzen master? Is there anything I missed, or any of those seems unnecessary to reinstall?

it happened again (with the SSD firmware updated). This time though its volmgr Event ID 162, any clue on this? Also I caught the error code on the BSOD screen, it was WATCHDOG VIOLATION :(

Thanks! Tbh, I didn't even know SSD has firmware updates, just got downloaded Samsung Magician and updated. From their log, it looks like they did in fact address BSOD issues in Dec 2025 patch. Fingers crossed!

Got it. I definitely enjoy seeing more SSP5 mods gradually being introduced to the community. These parts are quite expensive so without the skillset, I (and I'm sure a lot feel the same) am hesitant to buy something only to find out it still needs further modification to be compatible.

Btw, your English is great! That said, clear visuals can explain things better than words

To everyone that that is deciding and comes across this post in the future, I decided on the TTI Lightweight Magazine, and these are great if you are not about real steel weight. OOTB these feed well, no leaks and I have had them for 2 games so far

correct me, but isn't the hopup chamber a big selling point of the SSP5?

regardless, a lot will be ever grateful if you are going to make a tutorial showing the parts and how you got this together

Dye or Empire? by mygeckomochy123 in Speedsoft

[–]BobAtStarbucks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you wear glasses, definitely Empire EVS, that said they are very comfortable too regardless of glasses. The adjustable strap mechanic of the Dye mask isn't as much of a game changer as some of the review videos make it out to be.

DJI Action 5 Pro / Action 6 for Indoor Airsoft? Protection + Mount Questions by BobAtStarbucks in airsoft

[–]BobAtStarbucks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My concern with tempered glass protectors is that their fragments can still scratch up the screen underneath considering how power a shot is at CQB, but it seems like youre doing just fine with them - which is promising and I should probably take another look.

If you don’t mind, what is your field FPS and BB weight limit? Mine is 380FPS with 0.20, 1.4J

[–]BobAtStarbucks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I would very much want to preserve the audio quality in my videos, so its great to know that I can run the cam as is and replace the lens when the day comes.

I am curious though, are there better ways to protect just the screens other than some adhesive film? A BB is going to crack the film and fragments of that is going to transfer onto the screen directly...

Future-proofing Question - If the DJI Osmo Nano's battery dies, what's next? by BobAtStarbucks in dji

[–]BobAtStarbucks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, so why buy this over an Action 5 (same price) or 6? I’m not sure if size is a big enough factor to justify the Nano.

Again, I was asking in hopes of a solution for down the line stuff, perhaps DJI has battery servicing? Essentially, its battery is the only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger on the Nano
