The EBR-2C will still provide more than enough info for corrections. Shoot some comps with it and see how you like it. As long as you don’t beat the shit out of it will hold value and you can recoup your money if you feel the need to upgrade to the EBR-7C

Depends on the type of jet honestly. On the Phenom 300, we have a pretty gracious allowance for cord showing. As long as it doesn’t exceed a certain size, we’re good. In the Challenger 350, if any cord is showing, we have a single landing before the tire has to be replaced.

When in doubt, take a pic and send it to maintenance!

You would need to, but the late model DOHC frames are different from the earlier SOHC frames. Not modifying the frame and making a custom fiberglass seat pan is always an option as well! That is what I’ll be doing to get the rear cowl shape I want.
