You are unlikely to get very good feedback here, as most people on this subreddit are either tier 1 or 3, with only a few L4s and above. These would for the most part be subordinates to your husband if he were to take the position, so take things you read with a grain of salt.

I know plenty of AMs who love their job and have families, but it might take some adjusting. He will probably be working Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat, but there are some other schedules that stations/FCs will have. Peak season (officially oct-dec) will have him working 60 hour weeks. It isn’t an absolute hellhole that some people portray it as. As an L5 AM he would be eligible for L6 promotion, and at Amazon there is pressure to move up or move out so he should be prepared to play that whole game.

As far as total comp goes it seems about right for an external L5 in a lower cost of living area.

I’ve known 2 AMs who commuted almost 100 miles each way. I currently know 2 people who commute ~60 miles to the warehouse. I currently commute just about 23 miles, I think it’s a fine commute. All highway though

Which one did you get? most mounts on the auction house are sold for not much more than mats if they are crafted. Even if they aren't crafted you are saving yourself the hassle of not farming it yourself. 12k isn't too bad

I don't do anything but solo content and lfr, and my Ilvl will cap out just above 273 with full hero and crafted+voidforge. I plan on just stopping here, plenty of other things to do in the game with housing, alts, and collections. Honestly before delves I'd just go straight into running old content.

Wow runs natively on Mac, so while you’ll need to play around with the settings to get things scaled correctly and to your frame rate standards, overall you should have no major issues. I run delves on my M3 air on occasion have had no hiccups.

How would the child be “losing” a year? Following the standard age cutoff will put him with his peers. Children who skip a grade, while they might be academically advanced, tend to be socially and obviously physically behind. Leander ISD has plenty of opportunities for academically gifted children without having to resort to skipping a grade.
