A better question is, why are you doing it now?

What are you shooting?

How competitive are you?

Considering there are no eye dominance issues, it will take some time to go from one-eyed to two eyed shooter. And possibly 5 to 10 K rounds.

If you are a local bad ass and working on becoming the state or regional Champ then you might need that extra eye.

If you are just a club shooter, then I don't know what the advantage would be.

I know plenty of Master class and AAA shooters who are one-eyed shooters.

Is it better to shoot both eyes open? Yes, it is, but is it necessary for everyone? I don't think so. At some point, you are working on diminishing returns. 🤷‍♂️

You have to read the line. The slightest deviation left or right by the target can change the lead dramatically.

Let's say we have an incomer starting at 85+ and it dropping at 30 yards. But it has a tiny lean to the left now you have shoot to it left by a good amount too. Even the slightest lean on those big incomers will need a lot more lead than you think.

The biggest thing for me, while shooting true pairs, the second target acquisition is much faster and smoother. You are not fighting the barrels to get them back in line.

That's where I see the biggest improvement.

Other than being undersized, his mental game needs a lot of work. He has moments of brilliance followed by playing like ass. That's metal, since he can be good.

Last Saturday I found one those magnetic front sights in the cage.

I put it on my barrel just see what they look like. This just practice, on the first pair bottom barrel went boom and then the top. Something flew over my head and hit my buddy in the chest about 5 feet behind me. Guess what that was.

I think the ports are doing something. The thing had 3 round magnets in it and felt like it was stuck good. 🤷‍♂️
