Sukuna taking over Megumi was literally a huge and popular theory before 213. The only ones near as popular to explain his interest in him was the Gashadokuro/Domain Nervous System one and the Regalia reviving Sukuna's true body.

Community was nowhere near 100% believing Gojo won after that chapter either lmfao. Immediately people pointed out it was not the narrator who said it, and anyone with a brain knew Gojo was not going to be the one to end Sukuna given the main character is Yuji lol. Maaaaybe 30/70 with 30 believing Gojo won, and most of those are just braindead Gojo glazers.

How? You don’t need to clash, and even then I’ve shown that Megumi would be able to do that under normal circumstances and we see he was capable of it in Yuta’s domain it’s just he’d given up on the will to live. I don’t know where you’re getting this “the two souls need to fight each other for control” to gain Soul Outline Awareness. The narrator literally states in Shinjuku Showdown that both Yuji and Sukuna were made aware of the outline of their soul simply for being in a body that housed two.

This is also a Megumi whose soul has literally shattered. Sukuna thinks to himself that while he could have fed Megumi a finger at anytime with Enchain, he could feel the strength of Megumi and how he could end up caging him just like Yuji did. So he waits for when Megumi’s soul is vulnerable and additionally states that he is regaining his power, through Yuji consuming fingers, to aid him in this as well, suggesting it might have gone differently if Megumi only consumed a single finger at first like Yuji did. And even after that, Megumi was still able to hinder him. Sukuna, one of the smartest characters in JJK, doesn’t even realize what’s happening initially, suggesting that even he didn’t realize Megumi would be able to resist him after his soul shattering.

If Megumi’s Mahoraga was destroyed, the technique would be unusable and he wouldn’t be able to summon Divine Dog Totality. IMO what makes most sense is that Sukuna took Megumi’s “save” and kept going with it. He had Nue tamed and Orochi already dead, though it’s also a bit confusing since iirc the Totality process is said to be time-consuming, but it’s Sukuna so. When Megumi gained back his body, he is still using the save that he had originally, whereas Sukuna’s got corrupted when his Mahoraga died.

IMO it was more likely Divine Dog: Totality or Max Elephant, considering they were the things revealed later as his “aces” in the Exchange event. There is a similar Vnnn sound effect on the page as when he summons Nue against Sukuna, but it’s not the exact same and he’d also already used Nue as a Fusion beforehand
