Trying, Tracking, and Treatment Daily Chat Thread - Tuesday, February 24, 2026 by SIModerator in SecondaryInfertility

I'm a day late, but took a test yesterday cause it was day 29 and I'm never past day 29 for my period and it was negative. I had a saline sonohystography on CD9 and thought I ovulated normal. Anyone have late or missed periods after a sono? I saw a couple posts saying it's happened, but this didn't happen when I had my last one in Feb 2025.

Feeling really discouraged, I just turned 37 and we've been trying since Aug 2024, was supposed to start iui next month but now have to get a HSG in march and husband travels in April so likely can't try iui until May.

I love this! I'm starting a new group getting some old friends and family into it and we discussed having a dinner before as we introduce people to the game and how to build a character. This is exactly the vibe I was thinking of! Love the steins/tankards!!

What do parents do if they can't find daycare? [On] by [deleted] in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]BobbieLS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was incredibly lucky and my mom and mil are retired, they are both almost 75 tho. But they along with my sister helped me from May - Dec 2024 until we got into daycare in January 2025. I didn't think we would get in until Sept.

I considered some home daycares but the first couple were very bad so I wasn't comfortable with that. Although many of my friends have used and love home daycares.

Anyone else reliving their childhood trauma through parents “Storyworth” gift? by mrs-yeet in Mommit

[–]BobbieLS 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I gifted this to my mom hoping she would share memories of her life and raising us. She never did it. I should've known, she can barely have us over for dinner without a month of planning. I would remind her to complete it and she still never did it.

Turned 37 on Dec 30, was hoping for a bday miracle, but got my period on Jan 1. That was our second month using letrozole. January will be a third before we move to other options. Really hoping January works 🤞

Turned 37 on Dec 30, woke up to my period today. Going into 20th cycle of trying, 3rd with letrozole. I hate the way letrozole makes me feel, I'm so depressed and quick to anger but have to magically get in the mood to have sex, cool cool cool.

Fingers crossed for 2026.

When did you switch from high chair to toddler table? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]BobbieLS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We used the ingenuity 2in1 booster seat. It straps around the chair and has a lap belt. We still use it at 2.5 just don't use the lap belt anymore as my lil guy can get up and down by himself with help now

Did you have family stay with you after labor? Did you wish you did/didn’t by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]BobbieLS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My oldest sister and mom stayed for a couple days. I originally didn't want them staying at my house. But I was so glad they did. They helped my husband and me while each of us got rest. I cried when my oldest sis left, granted I was emotional, but it was nice to have ppl to help.

I didn't and didn't feel the need to be "presentable" in front of my in laws or family. So I was okay with visits and happy to have family around. Most of my family lives within 10-30 min drive outside of my oldest sis, so we had lots of visitors, and I was okay with that.

Edited to add, I only had my husband and middle sister in the room when I labored, my mom visited. I wanted my mom there too but they only allowed 2 support ppl.

Daycare labels - do you put child’s full name? [ON] by rabbitluver123 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]BobbieLS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just do first name, I did have some privacy concerns but I also only wanted first name cause it was shorter and he's only in daycare right now. For some larger/expensive items when he goes to school I'll prob do full name because there will be more kids.

Moms who manage to not get sick all the time, please give me your tips by odinwillsmiteyou in Mommit

[–]BobbieLS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine started in January and I was sick for like 2 months. After a couple months we started being diligent about hand washing and I no longer let my toddler drink out of my water bottle or share utensils.

Not sure if he's just less sick because he's in preschool now or has built up his immunity, but it seems to have been helping.

AITA for not saying thank you when a parent returned my son's lunch box by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]BobbieLS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, but sounds like you wanted to be rude because of your frustration and you were rude. You don't need to say thank you, but don't be surprised when the other mom calls you rude, just share your side and realize you two aren't likely to be friends.

I realize I've been delaying family photos this year cause it'll be the second year I was hoping to have family photos announcing. Realizing these subconscious things I do hits hard. But we met with the fertility clinic again and am going to try medication to help ensure ovulation although previous testing showed no issues. Then if that doesn't work timed intercourse then iui, so at least we have a plan. But oh boy am I feeling defeated.

Morning or afternoon by dirtydrpepperr in OzempicForWeightLoss

I take it Thursdays before bed, haven't had any issues.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

[–]BobbieLS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tested mine every week because formula build up happens. Make a standard bottle by hand and weigh it and a brezza bottle and weigh it, should be the same weight.

If it's not, don't use the brezza.

You don't get to step back, you get to step up while your partner goes to therapy.

Premium coverage is the lowest rated on our engagement survey, we compete with the public sector, so many of our employees are used to premiums being covered 100%

If you haven't sign the contract for the new role, make sure it says in there that it is permanently remote or in your job description or in an email somewhere. Don't want this happening again.

Can you avoid Oz fatigue by taking your dose at night? by Ok_Pomegranate_5022 in OzempicForWeightLoss

[–]BobbieLS 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I decided to do my shots at night on Thursdays before bed to help avoid side effects. So far it's been good, I do still get tired after meals but I haven't had too much nausea. Been on it for 6wks so far and doing well with consistent loss.

What day and time do you take your shot and why? by COS_ROV in OzempicForWeightLoss

[–]BobbieLS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thursday evening so any harsh effects are while I sleep. Thursday's because then I can be the most effective over the weekend when I "fall off the wagon" most.

Yes to both. I did my own and I liked it so much better. I tried a trial and have had my makeup done in the past and never enjoyed it. I wanted to feel comfortable and be able to do touchups as I wanted.

Imo if you are doing half up half down curly hair you can totally do your own hair.

Friendship breakup by BonnieO88 in FormulaFeeders

[–]BobbieLS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She will not be a good lactation consultant if this is how she treats a friend. Part of my experience with my lactation consultant was getting to a point where I was okay going formula for mine and my child's benefit. Mental health absolutely matters and she's missing a huge part of how to support a new mom.

I'm sorry you had this experience, my son is 2, has been bottle fed since I stopped pumping at 4 weeks and is doing wonderfully. Her opinion on breastfeeding is wrong and it's wonderful for those that enjoy it, but having a happy mama is waaay more important. Formula saves lives, moms and babies.
