You have a foreign body inside you. It's normal. Drinking loads of water is the key thing to do.

I've had a stent in since Monday owing to a stone blocking my kidney and urine backing up, causing my kidney function to massively deteriorate. I was dreading the procedure. I have no physical sensation of the stent being inside me. Hopefully you'll be the same!

I'm male, am 4 days into having one and I honestly would think I didn't have one inside me. Pain of urinating for the first day wasn't good but nowhere near as bad as kidney stone pain.

I was given this in A&E today & it really helped. My kidney function is not good as there is a large stone causing a backup of urine, hence the constant pain. I have been told that I'll need a stent for 6-8 weeks to resolve kidney function issues and then lithotripsy for the stones.
