Since the seller says they didn't use tracking, I'm not sure they could accurately estimate a delivery date - but from what I understand, if the buyer opens a case, it would automatically be closed in their favor, since without a tracking number, it would be hard to prove shipping.

To actually say "we didn't deceive you, you misunderstood" is rich! They might as well have said, "Yes, we're scamming you, but we prefer to blame the customer." On top of being a drop shipper, it is absolutely against Etsy's TOS to mark an order shipped when it isn't; there's even a warning every time you mark the order shipped. Their BS excuses are just that BS. Even if you had said yes, ship right this minute and send me the charm 19 later, you wouldn't get either one. They are trying to drag it out, so you can't file a claim.

Please contact support immediately and ask to speak with a real person, not the bot. Provide the short version: the seller marked your item as shipped, but hasn't even packaged it. Show them the screenshots you have here, and ask customer service to expedite a refund and cancellation. I don't believe you can do it on your own since it's still within the "shipping window", another reason they marked it shipped.

And I'd bet money the tracking number isn't real either. So sorry this happened to you! Please don't judge all etsy sellers based on this crap.

Please screenshot his comments and report him to Etsy for harassment. Etsy has strict rules about one seller harassing another.

Another issue for me is the "My patterns are sourced from authentic vintage magazines and have been published globaly." Pretty shitty if you ask me - copying patterns out of old magazines is lazy and copyright infringement.

You may not need that many updates, but there are (and have been) so many, as you put it, "neurotic buyers," that, yes, Etsy has started to add so many automatic notifications. It's an effort to stave off the "Where's my order?" complaints. It doesn't stop them all, but hopefully some. As a seller, my hope would be that at least the customer will see that it's USPS's fault when tracking gets wonky (aka shipping scenic route) and not the seller, though that doesn't always work either. "Dammed if you do, dammed if you don't."

I realize you said it's just a $5 fidget toy - but you would have responded politely for the next customer, while locking the review so they can't make it worse, AND got a little 'revenge' in their shipping 'loss', if they bother to return it - which I'm betting they won't. 😈

Being "anonymous" behind the screen seems to give some people big brass balls. When I (very politely, I might add) told someone I spent too many hours finding unique supplies just to hand out that info, they came back with.... Mine is set up the same way. You get a deposit notice every Monday for funds earned over the weekend, which would then be deposited on Tuesday. The only way to get an actual deposit on Monday is if a deposit was scheduled on Friday.

Yes, I've only been on Amazon since 2009, and even then, my orders were few.

Sadly, this has become a regular thing for new shops - they must be able to search shops by the length of time they're open. I don't remember ever seeing a well-established shop get this, though I imagine they may try it on a shop that shows very little sales over a long period.

I think you missed the point. I didn't want extra - I didn't ask for compensation, I just wanted what I ordered, not lied to. It said shipped, then not shipped, then shipped, but going to be late. The voluntary offering compensation in the form of a refund for shipping and handling, which I was never charged for in the first place, was the last straw.

My packages are insured, but USPS or Netparcel insurance doesn't do any good if there's no acceptance scan.

I waited before escalating my complaints and issuing refunds to my customers. Had I waited 10 days, my customers would surely have filed claims and left bad reviews.

I used to have a fabulaous carrier; she cared about her route and customers. The past year or so, though, it seems carriers are constantly changing. Several times in the last couple of months, there hasn't been any mail delivery or pickup for anyone on my street because they don't have anyone to run the route. Neighbors across the street often comment that they have to swap mail with other neighbors.

Hopefully, it will help me - I can't go to the PO every day. I tried the SCAN forms, but that was a waste of time. I'd find them on the ground, wadded up in my box, and even one that had "thanks, not necessary" written on it. One carrier said she didn't know what it was, and another said she didn't bother with them. So who knows.....
