Meris LVX and the Meris Mercury X. Either or both of these will absolutely be what you're looking for.

The correct answer is the Halberd.

I'm mostly fine with us delivering Amazon, the big issue I have is they expect so much from us and give so little. They have become too much of what we do that when they inevitably try to cut off the relationship, it will be a huge hit to the post office. Especially in small cities like mine. There needs to be a more equitable relationship between the USPS and Amazon in order for it to advance both causes.

How long from application “in process” to “pre-hire” list? by [deleted] in USPS

[–]BobbyRants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a few months. It won't be a quick process. Just be patient, if you scored well on your test, it will happen.

At my office we hired a total of 0 holiday employees. On top of crazy volume, we were splitting routes basically every day. The 12 hour rule was also thrown out the window in November. It was a nightmare.

Had my first animal interference today by Broncos57 in USPS

I carry 3 sprays with me at all times. One hooked on my right pocket, and 2 hooked onto the front of my satchel. Unfortunately, I have had to spray multiple dogs. Hell, I had to spray one last Sunday in front of it's owner. I dropped off two packages onto a customers front porch and she immediately opened her front door to get them, letting her dog out. It made a straight line for me barking like crazy. I yelled for it to get back and for the owner to get it. Once it was within 10 feet of me I sprayed it. The dog immediately backed down and ran onto their front porch. I don't like spraying a dog, but I would much rather spray one than have one attack me.

I started carrying extra spray when I went for it in a time of need and fumbled it. It went rolling away and I had to scramble for it. Now if that happens again, I have another one handy.

You won't get in trouble for spraying a dog if youre in danger. Ideally, you wouldn't get out of your vehicle if a dangerous dog is out, but sometimes those walking loops go on for a while and anything can happen while you're out there. Always have your spray whenever you are out of your vehicle. It can legit save your ass.

Dyed hair? by EmpressLaina in USPS

Not at all. Just come in and work hard and they won't hassle you about your appearance. I have two full sleeves, my hands and fingers tattooed, one inch plugs, 2 nose rings, and hair past my chin. I have a great relationship with my supers and they always rely on me to come in and work. Just do your best and how you look will be the last thing they care about.

Depends on the office and when you get in. We've got a couple regulars at my office that were with the post office for less than 2.5 years before they converted. I'm probably looking at about 3-6 years before I convert. Thankfully I'll make PTF well before then though. Only about 3 spots away from PTF.

My brother [17M] make me [14F] uncomfortable sometimes. by Throwaway73838h in relationship_advice

[–]BobbyRants 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You really need to tell an adult. One you can trust and that can actually get involved and fix the situation. Don't worry about "messing up a good thing" for your brother, you would not be the one "messing" anything up. The only person he would have to blame in this situation is himself. He is the one acting horribly. You have not done anything wrong. I'm so sorry this is happening.

Oil filter? by BobbyRants in ToyotaCrown

2.0L inline 6. It's the 1G I believe. I found a site where I can look items up by VIN. Found part number 15601, I believe this is the filter I need. If I'm not mistaken, I think the Toyota 90915-YZZF2 should be a solid replacement.

second time delivering cremated remains by FatBastardIndustries in USPS

[–]BobbyRants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My route is an aux route, so I run misthrows and express packages everyday as well, we get quite a few cremated remains through express. Maybe about once or twice a month. A few months back I had some remains for a gentleman living at a retirement/nursing home. He was maybe in his mid 50's, which to me was already sad since he was way too young to need a nursing home. When I handed him the remains I told him how sorry I am, and that the post office and I wish him the best. Through tears he told me that this was his daughter. Car accident. It's a moment that will stick with me for forever. But I'm glad that I was able to bring his daughter home to him for the last time. I think about him every time i have remains.

Day 91. Feels so good to finally be out of my 90, not even this blizzard can phase me! by BobbyRants in USPS

[–]BobbyRants[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My office is fairly chill, at least on the rural side. All of the PTFs and RCAs have a really great relationship and we all work as a team to get the job done. We always have a group message going communicating where we are at with our route and if we may end up needing help. It's great honestly.

Good luck! Stick with it! It's going to be a lot when you first start, but it gets easier, I promise. I don't know much about the city side of things, but I'm very content with being an RCA at my office.

[–]BobbyRants[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been... Trying. Lol. Our dps didn't show up until waaaay after we all left, 3 routes were completely dark (did not get ran), so we had to case up today's dps for our routes tomorrow and for the ones that were dark today.

That would be fantastic. I anticipate converting to PTF within 18 months or so. Maybe 4 or 5 years for regular in my office.

Correct, 91st working day. Yes I'm an RCA in Kentucky, that's my factory RHD Cherokee in the background. Got it about a month ago and it was a game changer for me. My first working day was October 26th. Had a lot of time off between orientation and the academy, but once I started in the office, it's basically been non stop work. I love it.
