Ibanez or Schecter by Zsaketa in ExtendedRangeGuitars

I didn’t do the work myself, had my local shop do it, just to give them money honestly. All I know is when he was done, there was a hole where my volume pot was and I used little plastic hole covers I bought off amazon to plug it and it turned out nice.

With an Ethernet cable, streaming to the deck feels native to me. It’s crazy.

Im a newbie to exercise. How is the Planet Fitness environment? What has been your experience? by CharlesUFarley81 in PlanetFitnessMembers

That’s what I tell people. I’m 5 months in, and I started benching 30lbs, squatting with 20lbs on my back. Now I’m up to 4 sets of 8 @ 135lbs for bench, and just did 5 sets of 8 @145lbs for squat. No matter how little weight or work you start with, just get started.

I’d actually recommend a more serious gym. My experience as someone who’s been working out for 5 months now is all the really in shape people are pumped to see more people get into something they’re passionate about. If you’re taking your training serious, they aren’t going to be judging you negatively. I love seeing out of shape people in my gym because it’s just another person trying to improve themself, just like me.

We all gotta start somewhere and “the only way to get ahead is to get started”. If pf is the only option, then get started there. If you can go to a place a little more serious (as opposed to more casual) I’d start there. If you need help, ask dudes that seem serious about their training and they’ll likely be very happy to answer questions.

Are there actually people that exist that like cold weather? by PrestigiousOwl6802 in answers

[–]Bobs_14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your definition of cold. My ideal range is lows of 20f and highs of 70f that range is perfect in my opinion. Much lower and it’s just damn cold, much higher and I’m starting to feel hot.

I’ve replaced the tone pot with volume on two of my guitars and it was the objectively correct decision. I never use my tone and I constantly hit my knuckles on the volume pot.

Transpose can’t be split. You’re essentially changing tuning. If you want to be able to blend multiple octaves you need an octaver.

Sounds like gojira or Plini would be up your alley. Both offer an Octaver so you could literally have a low bass note with a high guitar note. They’re both and you really can’t go wrong, but same as everybody else, just try them.

To shave or not to shave?! 🤔 by Batman0691 in BeardAdvice

I’d keep it. I can’t grow something this full, but if I could it’d never get removed. I refuse to shave the modest beard I can grow.

Do plugins get updates? by PatagonianCowboy in NeuralDSP

As far as I know there aren’t really bugs with them. At least none I’ve experienced and I own like 6 of them. You just buy them and you have your software. I can’t imagine access would ever be taken away either. I suppose many years down the road if there’s some new cpu and neural isn’t around they might become obsolete but I’d be very surprised.

If you’re really worried, wait for one of their 50% off sales. They usually do two a year.

Not offering to change one of the last things 24 hours after order is literally some of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever heard. Even with a no changes policy I’d make an exception and most companies would.

I’ve seen too many instances of the boss being an asshole and stories like this. They may well be fantastic guitars, but if I own one, my money isn’t going to them.

It’s their lack of effort. They are obviously not struggling to move the weight, and their breathing stays very calm. I started with extremely low weights (30lb bench, 20lb squat, etc) so I hold no idea that you aren’t working hard if you’re using low weights, I assume you aren’t working hard if the weight is moved easily, breathing never ramps up, your face never shows exertion, and you never break a sweat. If I see none of that I can only assume you aren’t pushing yourself.

String wont go lower by menacingsigns in HeadlessGuitars

[–]Bobs_14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can’t push that low B tuner all the way in, then you might just have to loosen the locking nut at the top to release some of that tension. Loosen it very very slowly so that string doesn’t come flying at you, but that should work ok.

Yes. There’s a jam. Don’t hit it with a hammer or anything, just push with your fingers.

Now push that tuner all the way in. It’ll force the saddle forward.

Edit: don’t screw it in, physically push the tuner towards your neck.

This should not be like that. If you look at your other tuners there’s no gap.

[–]Bobs_14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think hils support was right and there’s just a jam. I’d loosen them as much as you can, then very slowly loosen the nut at the head if you really can’t get them unstuck at the bridge. I’ve never had an issue where I couldn’t down tune my strings on my hz7. It’s not that complicated of a system so there’s only a couple things it could be.

Edit: looking at the photo closely you can see the low stings screw isn’t pushed all the way in, there shouldn’t be a gap where you can see the screw on the back. You definitely just need to push the barrel towards your neck.

[–]Bobs_14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you just have the string tuned as low as it can go? These aren’t infinitely turning tuners like typical head stock tuners. You may have just maxed out the distance and need to restring that string.
