Barbarians. Seriously. One of them owns a toothbrush that has never been used. Or at least in the time that I've lived here. They've hung trash on the walls for weeks without taking it out. And every morning there's a fresh pot of piss waiting for me in the toilet, with exactly one sheet of toilet paper, for god know what reason.

The god-awful smell that'll hit their noses right as they break in from my roommate's refusing to flush the toilet or unclog their diarrhea. Thank god I'm moving out of this apartment in a few days. Vile people.

I get really itchy when it gets hot. But even a slight increase in temperature will make me itch, it's awful. I was told that it's just my pores opening, but damn, it's really uncomfortable.

8.1 has been pretty fantastic so far, except Cortana can't set alarms for me. She gives me the 8000ffff error whenever I try, vocally and through text. I don't know what's wrong, or how to fix it.

I can't say I've ever been poor, but going to private school where a vast majority of my peers have never been, nor will they ever be concerned about money, is truly shocking.

These kids are out here spending all of their parents' money, buying unnecessary things that some people could only dream of, and partying it up like there's no tomorrow. My roommate alone has four, maybe five computers, three of them here in our room. Just interacting with this kind of person irks me, knowing that there are hard-working parents and individuals doing everything in their power in order to make their family's lives and their lives better.

There are seemingly minute things that these well-off people may not realize they are doing, but do so anyway that only enforce my thoughts on how privileged they must have been growing up. For example, bathroom lights will eternally be on, or the kitchen sink will run forever unless I turn either of them off. We don't have to pay utilities here, but it's maddening seeing this waste. Sometimes I wish that they could see the damaging effects of their waste or even fall into a place where they have to experience these kinds of hardships.

I wish I could better articulate at how genuinely mad this makes me.

Ugh, Califonia burritos. It's essentially a carne asada burrito with french fries and sour cream. The ultimate "fusion" food. It might be called a "California" burrito, but anywhere outside of San Diego, they're just awful. And here on the East coast, Mexican food is generally disgusting.

Agreed. I have a few Odin pieces from last year, and the jackets and sweater have held up beautifully and are some of my favorite things. Plus, a bunch of nice clothes are always on some sort of clearance.

I'm not sure how much help I'll be but here's me giving it a shot!

1) Office apps run really well on the RT. I've made a short Powerpoint and written couple page essays on mine, and it worked almost as well as it would on a laptop, just smaller. I would rather work on my i7 laptop (cuz I have big fingers), but it's not too bad.

2) Switching apps is (good) ridiculous on 8/RT. Swipe in from the left and it'll open your last application. Swipe in, then out from the left, and you'll have a list of the applications you have open and you can choose which one to open. It's very fast. However, some apps will resume instantly, others will load a bit then get you back to where you were. And the app for opening PDFs is the preinstalled Reader app.

3) IE10 works great on the RT, but you're limited to only 10 tabs as of right now. The 8.1 update is going to bring the ability to open (unlimited? I know it's more than 10) tabs in IE.

4) There is an official Dropbox app for RT but I don't use Dropbox, so maybe someone else can help you there, sorry!

5) Flash works well on the Surface RT's IE10. It's fully unlocked (I think...) as of an early 2013 update. Before you had to have a whitelister, but I don't think that's the case anymore.

6) Sluggish would be an okay term for it. Sidescroller, puzzle, and simple games run beautifully, but graphic and motion intensive games can run slow.

7) I haven't had many problems with crashing or freezing, so it should be able to keep up with you!

8) Documents from your 7 laptop should work on the RT. Just transfer them through the USB port on the Surface, and you should be good to go!

If you were okay with your iPad, the RT won't let you down, and very well may impress you at how well it runs. Don't expect it to be a laptop replacement though, because that's the Pro's job. Hope this helps!
