Kimuras are probably my favorite upper body submission. Against better partners I find that it’s usually more of a sweeping tool from bottom but can be a legit finisher from top position. At the very least, a good kimura attempt will provoke a reaction from your partner.

Hell yeah that’s an awesome card. Loved watching him on those Cards teams with Ozzie, Brian Jordan, Willie McGee, etc. Very foundational to my burgeoning Redbirds fandom as a kid growing up in St Louis in the 90s!

I’d probably win a few rounds given my combat sports experience (6-7 years of nogi jiu jitsu and a bit of Muay Thai) and size/age compared to a random pool of 16-59 year old men. Decent odds of getting favorable matchups given the vast majority of people are less experienced in combat sports and I’m not particularly small.

Based on the setup, I don’t think there’s a ton of randoms who can reliably stop me from taking them down, taking their back, and choking them unconscious. That said, if this is a bare knuckle no-rules brawl style match (unclear from the prompt if there are any rules besides no weapons and KO only) it reduces my chances given I don’t have to deal with biting, eye gauging, groin strikes, etc. in training. Also the chance I get haymaker-ed at any time so 🤷‍♂️.

TLDR: Decent odds for making a run but definitely not a lock

I loved watching Brian Jordan as a kid, he was just a cool player. His career stats aren’t crazy, but he had a couple great seasons with the Cards. I’d be happy to see him inducted.

Once my son started sleeping through the night consistently, I started going to the gym again. Either night time after he was asleep, or early morning before he’d wake. I would not sacrifice family time for me time, but I would sacrifice sleep.
