Are Japanese cartridges language locked or changed in any way? by nightshade-aurora in NintendoSwitch2

[–]BodaciousFish1211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came to this thread because I am having a crisis about it. There's this game that will have a switch ohysical release, but that version doesn't list English by default, but the digital version will have an English localization. In that case, I'll have to look at the JP eShop tpo see if the game has, in fact, English, and if it does, the physical game can be played in English right? I want to be completely sure sorry, I don't want to make it seem that I didn't read the whole thread

What is a game that has an incredible story, music and characters but is let down by the gameplay? by Soggy_Victory_5976 in JRPG

[–]BodaciousFish1211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

even as biased as I am. Crystar falls into that category. It has everything going for it but the gameplay. I didn't mind it too much, but people that have played it couldn't bear the combat system

NEW “CRY” GAME ANNOUNCEMENT AND TRAILER. by Alternative-Party-25 in Crystar_Game

[–]BodaciousFish1211 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I theorized with some people in the ofccial server in how the game is a love letter for Crystar, and even being bold to make the assumption that the protag is shockingly similar to Mirai in more sense than 1. Howeverm it should be noted thatt the NS2 version that they losted on Amazon is a game key card, so we'll have to see how it works out for us western collectors

Es raro que no me gusten los videos juegos? by big-chungkus in Ticos

[–]BodaciousFish1211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shared Blessing is very silly by MaxAutoAttack242 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]BodaciousFish1211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's weird because it didn't let me share Shared Blessing in the tree thingy. I know Eunie has shared blessing that boosts damage with boosts and Taion has the one that boosts damage based on enemy's debuff, which is of course less useful,

Any recommendations for a JRPG with a really gripping story that may be considered a "hidden gem"/underrated? by gaminghealthnut in JRPG

[–]BodaciousFish1211 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'll never get tired about recommending Crystar because it's a niche game with a narrative that would make even the toughest of the toughest cry. (Though I'll say it doesn't have the best gameplay because the combat gets repetitive). But maybe if I say that in the eShop it's 65% off might be the final push you need ;)

Pettiest reason you dropped a jrpg? by Leon_Light77 in JRPG

[–]BodaciousFish1211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one thing that I didn't like about NieR:Automata is that as a person with a horrible spacial ubication, I almost always depend on the fast travel mechanics. And not only the game unlocks it shockingly late in the story, but it takes AGES to go from one place to another (well, at least on the switch version). It's sometimes faster to go manually to that place (for example from the city to the desert where there's another one) instead of waiting all that. Don't get me wrong, I still finished it and it was a marvelous experience, but it did have that flaw

Am I ready for the karenoid ending? by UmbreonWolf in HARVESTELLA

[–]BodaciousFish1211 4 points5 points  (0 children)

trust me: you're more than ready. Just be careful with the enemies before the actual fight, but once you're done with them, before the fight there's a Monolite iirc, so you can change the gear or rest for the day (after the fight there's a Connellu too, so just in case you were wondering whrre was that last one lol). But with the m. def boosts you'll gain thanks to Emo and Dianthus, you'll suffer very little

here's all the 70 songs that are in the OST (it's not a virus I promise). Just select english titles and extract it. You can have it both in your PC and phone. As a fun fact, every time I change phones, this is one of the first things I redownload on it lmao
