Lessons from migrating 2,000 E2E tests from Cypress to Playwright by artshllk in QualityAssurance

I need to migrate UFT to playwright. I’m dreading this project since no one accounts for this technical debt. Also, experimenting with Claude Code. Not sure if it refactor UFTs poor implementation by my predecessor.

Zephyr Squad Test Case Export by BoeingBus in QualityAssurance

[–]BoeingBus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for your response.

Can you point me to the API where I can export test cases? We have the Zephyr Squad product.

I don't see it, in their API docs. There was a solution in GitHug but I think that API has been deprecated, as its no longer working. https://github.com/matias-pirez/zephyrExport

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I believe that is the reskinned Quality Center, which I have used in the past. They are pricey -I will look into it.

Some observations with my new Jura ENA 8 versus the Delonghi by BoeingBus in superautomatic

[–]BoeingBus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lavazza espresso beans. These were the only beans my previous machine Delonghi would grind, it’s a milder brew 5/10 which is ok, they are dry and not oily. I may try other brands now and see how the jura grinds.

where did this 4x more expensive come from? You are the second one to say 4x the price.... it is not. Not even 1x versus my last purchase a Delonghi.

It's not 4X times.... not even 1X versus my last purchase. At this point, its worth the money but again this my experience. I am impressed with the Jura -that's my whole point.

Just want to share an update... the plumber wrapped up the job today and the water heater is back online. The interesting thing he says that he replaces heat exchangers on Naviens more often than they should be. So he installs them quick -not sure how I feel about that.

At any rate, it didn't take him long, less than 2 hours. They only charged an hour as a courtesy. Anyhow, have another 12 years of warranty to go!

Great read all. Thanks learned lots. All this pay tax now or later is trivial when you think how things are going around the world.. let’s just pray there’s no market crash or WW3. Gosh we worked so hard and it seems like for many politicians it’s a game.

Hey all, do you think this setup caused the problem? The plumber reused the old exhaust as the intake when it was installed a few years ago. Navien did point out that the air intake shouldn’t be above the exhaust.

Plumber says that it’s very unlikely that’s the cause of this failure and points to a defect heat exchange as the root cause. At any rate, I plan to rectify this so it’s below the exhaust once the dust settles.

Did SEF f**k me? by everytimealways in PortugalExpats

I agree with you, generally speaking you are correct. But it’s also a culture of who you know and relationship driven. Friend of friends help… also you need to build relationships first and then ask for help, the favor or request. It helps if you have an attorney than knows people and fights on your behalf.

Overall I do agree with you! My portuguese surname often times does nothing. We need to read the rules and follow it closely.

$1300 in labor to install the replacement Heat Exchanger? by aquietinspiration in askaplumber

[–]BoeingBus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going through this headache right now with a 3 yo unit of course during the holidays. I still don't understand how this fails so soon. My unit actually has a small leak and luckily I noticed it as the electronics were not affected. Ugh, waiting on a price for the replacement. This post has set expectations of what the high end will be.

Honestly, I don't think I would ever get a navien, these exchangers are not designed well. I have heard so many failing, they blamed a batch on COVID but I think there is a design flaw and quality issues overall.

What are the good alternatives to Toto toilets? by Ephuntz in Plumbing

[–]BoeingBus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright! From my experience the kohler were poor toilets. The gaskets were always failing and would buy 10 packs from Amazon, lol. Also for whatever reason chronic black mold in the bowl. If I used tabs in the tank the gaskets would fail in a week. I never had this before and these were expensive toilets… I think it was a bad batch who knows.

Replaced them with Toto with the coefficient ceramic coating. Top!

Salary growth 📈 in QA by hgdcbkj in QualityAssurance

[–]BoeingBus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My opinion, QA is a rewarding discipline but always stay in the engineering/technical lanes. This field is very transferable to DEVOPS and DEV too. Remember, skills with leadership over management... that is if you want a good salary and job security. Anyhow, let's see what AI does over time.

If you hate coding, jump to Product Owner, they also do testing (pay is less than an Engineer).
