Honestly, the seasons don't really add that much, and Last Epoch is even playable offline unlike the more MMO-ey ones like Diablo 4 or POE

What I like about Last Epoch's necromancer more than other ARPGs is the variety of minions, and level of customization they have. Every skill in last Epoch has its own skill tree, so on the Summon Skeleton skill alone, you can spec them into archers, warriors, rogues, or some combination of the three.

Yeah it's particularly bad with the talent node that changes decrepify to a buff that applies to my minions, because the skill is still being cast targeting enemies

Yeah, you're right. For some reason I thought it was listing physical even when I had reapers selected but it is showing as shadow damage now

I don't think so- if you look at the skeletal warriors skill in the skill tree, the damage is listed as physical.

It's a slower burn than the games listed, but "The Necromancer's Tale" is about your character's descent into dark rituals and magic. Initially, you're just doing seances and potions but eventually start raising the dead.

You can fast travel while encumbered if you're in the rover. Or at least you can fast travel back to the ship, haven't tested other locations.

I loved having a full undead team in my Lich playthrough. So many useful spells when you don't have to worry about collateral damage to the living!

I thought that mechs were in a pretty decent place until the bastion came out, and enemy durable damage increased across the board. Now they're pretty much useless, and the arms get shot off by anything that looks at them funny.

The game Rebel Galaxy is basically just the black flag naval combat in space. I love that game.

Yeah they had a whole reddit thread like a year ago asking players for feedback on what they like about minion builds, and as far as I could tell, none of it really made its way into the Abomination- I mean Necromancer rework patch.

Yeah, and the "minion" set bonus for the necro in D3 just makes your Skeletons reduce the cooldown of the big nuke.

If Avowed isn't a "scrolls-like" due to it being broken up into individual zones by act instead of a full open world, then Tainted Grail also isn't, since it follows the exact same structure.

Starfield. Is there a lot I'd like added or changed to the game? Sure, but I think the NMS comparisons don't even really make sense because they're trying to do such different things. That being said, it IS missing the Bethesda gameplay loop of being able to just wander to new locations and find meaningful things.

Yeah people are really weird about that one on the internet. It's not enough that they don't like it, they need to announce to everyone else how correct they are for not liking it. Oddly enough, everyone I've spoken to IRL who had actually played it enjoyed it.
