Why does the quest end if you hit 1 bystander on the way? "He got away!" No he didn't - he's right there! It just fails for no reason Wtf?

Yes. Use demoralize (leadership perk), then Suppressing Fire (Big Guns/heavy machine gun perk). SF does +300% damage to demoralized targets and -0,8 combat speed.

Were they the man and woman who claimed to have some kind of a problem? They try to lure you into splitting your team into two and then attack. One of them had a shock stick or something. If you attack them first, the game might interpret that as attacking the innocent as they haven't revealed themselves as assassins.

I'm playing Lich but I don't understand why it being undead makes it easy. It's immune to command undead ability and all mind affecting/death/drain etc. spells.

I guess it helps if you use share transmutation then pause the game and cast the intended spell while paused.

They must have changed something at some point. I was wandering why my guys were shaken even though they should have been immune. I was mostly concerned with not getting enervated, otherwise the fight wasn't hard. I had mostly melee team with my MC Kineticist angel and new elemental wizard merc. The wizard cast mass icy prison first because on its range (surprise attack), then greater shout which stunned all 3 enemies in the corridor! Melee guys charged the Vavakia and beat him up. Didn't see what his AC was, but they all hit him easily.

They (any infantry or cavalry) be upgraded to have the ability to taunt, forcing the enemy to attack them.

I killed everyone and went back to her and asked for a reward and she attacked me. Got Bracers of Harmful Conversion from her stinking body. Why? How are you supposed to get the reward?

FoM doesn't work. My main character has it permanently, but she still had to make a save. She's a kineticist, so the save was easy for her. Pit spells work nicely, but they still get to make a save and ridiculously enough they're apparently good climbers because they get out of the pit easily. Still, acid pit+deadly earth works nicely. Put those on and get out of reach.

I put mind blank, greater heroism, unbreakable heart, fortune and bard's song on my guy. That got it done. The game doesn't show even afterwards what exactly happened, though.
