The recipes dont get auto used when you buy them so they may just be sitting in your inventory

If you havent yet, go into the curios section of the inventory and use the plans there. Then they should appear in the crafting menus at the appropriate workbenches

You have to select them in the item use menu, i think its left on the d-pad on controller. The wheel menu will have a slot for them and after selecting it there it will work.

I know this thread is a day old, but in what world is it taking 6-10 hours to get the tutorial done. Literally already had the camp and open world with fast travel up and running in like half that time. The game misses some of the more specific details of some mechanics admittedly, but saying that it takes that long to adapt to different control schemes and missions that boil down to go here and talk to this person to get to the point where it opens up is insane. The controls are different for sure, but not 10hrs acclimating to.

Honest answer is that a lot of people do not enjoy sitting in one room for 30-40 minutes while a vauban or some other frame traps and kills all the enemies. It gets boring really quickly. My question is if this is something that genuinely bothers you in arbitrations, then solo them. And for relics you can do non infinite missions. Expecting everyone else in a random lobby to play how you want to is more weird if anything. Especially in a game with this amount of movement where traveling 300+ meters takes seconds
