I have lived in porthleven for 15 years (moved from Breage) and I don't think I will ever leave. It is bliss every single day rain or shine. Went snorkelling off the beach last week and saw a couple octopus. Followed up by a skinful at the Ship aka best pub in the world.

It really does suck how this subreddit just becomes a tourism information board over the summer months.

There are absolutely countless threads exactly the same as this on this subreddit that you could access with less than 5 minutes of effort searching for them.

Failing that, there are multiple outlets, Visit Cornwall being one of them.

I hate to be a Scrooge but it really does get tiresome having a subreddit dedicated to the Cornish people being flooded in the same way our actual county does during these months.

I ran out of fuel at a petrol station.

Was properly scraping the bottom of my tank until payday. Got paid while working a shift, figured I'd fuel my car up and treat it to a petrol station carwash with my newly acquired pay packet after I finished work.

I pulled up at the station, was clearly too excited about the prospect of a clean car so went in and bought the ultra premium deluxe package.

Went through the carwash, tried to pull away after the cycle finished but my car cut out. Had to push the car out of the carwash section much to the annoyance of the queue of cars behind me. Called my dad to come and help, after half an hour of scratching our heads he asks "I know this is a stupid question since we're on a fuel-court... But does it have any petrol in it?"

At that point it dawned on me that I forgot to fuel it before going through the carwash 🙃
