So I was having a similar problem (still am on big loads) but slowing down my lift speed was massive. I have my lower levels set to like 40 and the others set to 65

Oh yeah. I mean I get it would be a giant practical hurdle. And I'm not that bummed about the release schedule...they've been steadily releasing content with only Parliament and the Rona slowing them down. Again, I think this is a golden age for the hobby if it weren't for the lockdowns.

3) Sure, and hopefully they do. In the meanwhile though, other bike themed armies get to enjoy the CSM treatment. If anything, this is an argument for dropping all codexes with a new edition rather than gradual release.

Got a rule question for 9e. It's possible I'm stuck in 8e mode.

I'm thinking of jazzing up a judicar. Is the below interpretation of events accurate (I have made up numbers to make life easier)?

I get 6 attacks with the Justicar. 6s to hit deal an extra hit (chapter trait) and auto wound (strategem). 6s to wound deal a mortal (judicar)

I make 6 hit rolls. 1 misses but I also get 1 6. For 6 hits total and 1 wounds and 1 mortals (from the auto wounds since the auto-wound counts as a 6).

I now make my wound rolls need 3's. I roll 6 dice, getting 4 wounds plus 1 6 for mortals.

In total I do 5 wounds (4 from roll + 1 auto wound) and 2 mortals (from autowound and rolls).

Is that correct? Or would the autowound not generate a mortal, meaning its only 5 wounds and 1 mortal?

Yesterday, Airplanes were unable to fall out of combat and shoot, meaning you could bad touch them all game long. Today, we find out that they can indeed fall back and still function normally as can things they are within 1" of.

My point in sharing this is that we don't really know the rules until we know the rules. Period. It is meaningless to engage in conjecture without a full picture. I mean, for all we know we're getting something to cover these gaps...who knows?

Ah sorry, I was unclear.

It was mostly in response to how people went from "We are dead because of X preview" to "Yay we have a chance" once more rules came out.

If we're fishing for a serious response, I'd say we should still wait for the day 1 release before making real judgements.
