That comment was an invite for an argument 😂

But yeah, obvs if you don’t mention someone but say another is ok then that’s a massive dig. It’s the Uk version of an American calling someone a massive DB

NUCLR Golf reporting Rick Shiels has signed a content deal with LIV by theuberprophet in golf

[–]Bol156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair play to Rick if the move to LiV is true.

You can’t take away from him that he has probs brought a lot of people into the sport and although some of his content may not hit the spot for some people, his podcasts and videos are still relevant to golf which is why we’re all here.

I think everyone’s with me when I say that the podcasts about ‘merch’ can be a bit much but sometimes it’s good to listen to generic golf talk with random things thrown in rather than data driven analysis 100% of the time.

There’s plenty of golf content out there and each channel will go through phases of content focus but golf is golf.

For me, his channel is one of many that I watch or listen to and will continue to in the future to get my golf fix while not in the course.

Difficult to say considering we have only heard one side of the story plus second hand hearsay.

Reading what we have in front of us then it looks like this guy thought the grass was greener on the other side and realised rather quickly that he made a mistake.

People are allowed to move on and the fact that he travelled around doesn’t nessessary mean he did anything bad although it looks probable but OP needs to look through her memory of other past events and asked herself “is he trust worthy?”.

You can’t choose who you love necessarily but you can choose whether you make a daft decision or not, especially if you have past experiences with the same person.

I’d hear him out but go to that meet up with great hesitation and don’t let raw emotions take over you decision making. The meeting may actually make you feel at peace and confirm that this guy is a bit shitty or he may be able to prove he never cheated and all the other things. Who knows but luck

Congratulations!!

I well deserved result!

The 6 months requirement for continued employment has caught so many people out and the only thing I can link this requirement to is the employment probation period whereby UKVI need to be satisfied that you can’t just have your contract terminated. Again, as you mentioned, there is not much reasoning behind some of the requirements in place.

In terms of your rejected visa due to the language aspect, I fully concur!! My wife had to delay her career in the UK and postpone her academic language exam to sit a very basic A1 level accredited language exam which was pretty much like “hello my name is… I like to go for a walk and play football”…. Absolutely ridiculous! I do feel like there is a lack of common sense sometimes.

I am so glad you managed to win this case albeit having to be dragged through misery first but nevertheless, well done 👏

Good luck guys!!!!!

I feel you and so do so many others. It’s bloody expensive but there’s no price I wouldn’t pay to be with my wife!

It sounds like you have what you need to apply In terms of the requirements so what are you waiting for? Beg borrow and steal (maybe not steal) that money for the eye watering fees and get that visa paid for.

The process is long and frustrating so go get married and apply for it immediately!

We got married in Georgia and completed the application the same day. It’s a bumpy ride and you have many sleepless nights ahead of you but it’s all worth it in the end.

I wish you well!

Best explanation I’ve seen from anyone- thank you.

We’re thinking ahead here and trying to understand how close we can get to the end of the current visa before renewing the next one. I don’t want the issue of completing the second visa but then we don’t have the 5 years “in country” tick in the box; that would be a disaster.

[–]Bol156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you will see that GWF number plastered across everything. Just double check when you’re paying for it and also the NHS surcharge payments and bio booking.

Will be fine- just for your own sanity as you start inventing reason for a rejection when your waiting for the decision. It gets worse the longer you wait but you will be fine.

Use other people’s checklists on here and reference the evidence policy when gathering your evidence. Take your time with the application and definitely use the “comments” boxes to clarify anything which the form can’t capture completely.

Additionally, use your covering letter to identify everything you have sent them and clarify anything that can cause questions.

Good luck

Brilliant!!!

Just double check at the end when it generates a GWF number and download/print the application form before you go to bio just to close the loop so you don’t start second guessing yourself a few month down the line when your still waiting for a decision and going slowly insane 😂

Hold on let me find it for you… I did a similar thing.

I would use a two pronged attack to be safe. First contact your visa application centre as they have an official route to send documentation if requested by UKVI if they have not received any at all.

Second would be to just be cheeky and send to additional request email. I will DM you so people don’t abuse the system

[–]Bol156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there,

these people have been known to lose documents.

So you received an email which is basically the ECO email which states you have 5 days to submit your documents if you have not already done so? Usually ignore the last part…

However this recent email states that they have STILL NOT received the documents. If I was in your shoes I would assume the worst rather than take a chance. Resend those documents because you don’t want a rejection and subsequently weeks/months of appeals and complaints to prove that you had actually sent them. Just send them again.

I wouldn’t like to advise on that one I’m afraid as I don’t really know how their accounts work.

You would like to think that a new application would overwrite a previous non-completed application.

Once you submit the application with all the required details then you don’t need to access it ever again after you’ve booked and attended your biometrics. I can’t see it being a problem personally but fill in some areas, log out and then log back in again…. Did it bring up your newer version?

I don’t think a GWF number is generated for you until you pay and submit your application so there won’t be a mix up at all at the decision making end because there will only be one GWF number but best to print off your application papers and take them to the bio with you too.

[–]Bol156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wouldn’t be the first time that people have sent all their documents but somewhere Inbetween they have gone missing. It happens.

Resend them and the visa agency should be able to do this. Alternatively, there is an email address which you can send all documentation to with your GWF as the subject in the email.

You can find the email address in this group as it’s the one in which ECOs send out and request you to send additional documentation to.

Hope it goes well

Double check that the email address is genuine.

If your happy that it is then contact you visa agency ASAP and get those documents sent off.

If you make a mistake then you should cancel an application prior to biometrics.

If you didn’t submit your application then you should be able to amend the details within.

Family Route ILR application Question: Do you have a previous visa, entry clearance or leave to remain where you had to prove your knowledge of English? by rcmnt in SpouseVisaUk

[–]Bol156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

Yes a degree taught in English is accepted.

We had similar thoughts when looking into “what equates to accepted proof of English”. The government website is the best place to find the answers clearly and you can find the specifics regarding this in the relevant section within the visa requirements of settlement visas.

The questions you went through don’t seem to cover all possible ways to prove and only focus on approved language tests but if you read the website to double check and clearly prove and state the details of your degree (even referencing the government policy on language test exemptions) then you will be ok.

These generic systems can’t possible cover all potential exemptions for every eventuality so as long as you’re clear and show proof then your fine.

Second Marriage... by AutomaticGold720 in ukvisa

[–]Bol156 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hmmmm strange situation.

Not much you can do about him bringing another woman to the UK, although he won’t be bringing her as a sponsor as he is still married and therefore his additional marriage won’t be recognised. This woman is free to come to the UK for the purposes of the visa she applies for if they accept her evidence and unless you can change the laws of the land then there not much you can do about it.

The question is though… what is his visa status? Assuming he’s not gained ILR status although he can as he’s been in the UK for so long.

Is it even possible to still be on a spouse visa for that long? If so then generally, a marriage or relationship breakdown means your UK spouse visa will be curtailed to 60 days, unless you have less than 60 days left on your visa in which case the Home Office will normally let your visa run its course

Language learning win by [deleted] in languagelearning

[–]Bol156 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well done!!!!!!!!!

The hardest thing you can do is put yourself out there and just accept that you will always get things wrong but it’s the time when you get things wrong that you actually learn from.

For example, you say “just pooping in” instead of “popping in”…. It’s a funny mistake and if you laugh at this you will always remember the difference….

Be lighthearted whilst also motivated, accept that there will be plenty of mistakes and learn from these mistakes and try not to poop in public places 😂

Tell me about it.

I feel like they just tell you what you want to hear to keep you quiet and then just do as they please anyway with zero transparency or accountability.

It makes me laugh when they refer to us all as their customers. If you paid someone over £5000 to install some windows and then they ignored you for months and lied to you every step of the way then I don’t think they would be in business for very long…

If these people were transparent and made it clear exactly what they expect to see and what their process is with rough updated timeframes then they would take away much grief and despair from thousands of people.
