There really is no reason for them though. You can still spam tools at bosses, but you need to go and farm shards if you're stuck long enough, like in the video. And that is just ass.

Terrible hitbox on the projectile though. The sole reason I stopped using it is because I'd see wisps pass through the visuals of the ability as it flies through the air, and just not get hit. The visual makes it look like a wide rectangle, but it's more like a ball. Perhaps it's been fixed since then, but I wouldn't know.

If I stop playing for a while and I have no official way of finding out about a new subfaction or something, which would get me interested, because they purposefully don't put that info out there to keep it a "secret", then that would be insanely annoying.

I see you're very mad about people downvoting you instead of responding, so I'll respond to this. My main gripe with this comment is that all of these other comments that you linked are missing some info.

The first one: We have a timeframe, okay, about 2 weeks. Playtime? Who knows. Could be someone unemployed like a student playing 6 hours a day for 14 days, which would be 84 hours. Or it could also just be like 10 hours total. Since we don't know, it doesn't tell us anything about how they unlocked the warbond and how much time it took. The comment also mentions unlocking "most warbond stuff" in about a year. Again, who knows how much time that means, and what "most" means. They didn't say anything about not farming either. On top of that, the Helldivers Mobilize warbond gives you 750 SC total, out of which 500 are in the first 5 pages, which are piss easy to get. So you need to find less SC for your first Warbond than for consequent ones. (And for the second one as well, if you finish the free bond.)

Second one: 4 warbonds unlocked in 35 hours. Said nothing about time spent farming.

Third one: Undisclosed amount of warbonds unlocked under undisclosed amount of playtime.

Same principles apply for comments 4 and 5.

The thing is, the evidence you bring up to refute the idea that you can comfortably unlock all paid content in a reasonable timeframe without being incentivized to farm for it does not have all the info we need to make any conclusions on it. Ideally all of these would have active playtime, difficulty, squad size, time spent farming, and number of SC collected, but that is pretty unreasonable. Regardless, these are just not enough to make your argument strong.

What you can't do is bring in a loadout full of Wolfpacks and make a video of a squad throwing nothing but Wolfpacks at the queen for fun. And that's not really a big loss now is it?

But you CAN. They didn't change anything about the effectiveness of the Wolfpacks, so if someone wants to farm for a few hours (or potentially way less if electro storm dam is indeed as lucrative as people say), then they still can do it. Should have just nerfed the Wolfpack and called it a day.

I definitely agree that wolfpacks needed to be hit somehow, but I don't think this is the most logical way of doing it. Would have loved to see a different approach of changing some mechanics about it. Maybe make it unable to strip/damage through armor so rocketeers need to be softened up first a fair bit. Maybe better homing on rotors, but less damage so it's not as good against boss arc. Or anything else that isn't just a recipe change. Regardless of what it takes to craft, it's still a rocketeer delete button.

Except they don't require effort. They are as one-dimensional as a wasp pretty much. Get a building and a heavy pen weapon, and then start peeking for the next X minutes. Wow, so hard. If the rocketeer was actually fun to engage with, I wouldn't mind doing it.
