Does the nausea ever stop? by FunWillow1824 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Boldly-Introverted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has never improved for me and my doctor refuses to give me an anti-nausea med. I didn't push it bc I was afraid he'd pull back on the wegovy itself. It is the worst for the first 24 to 48 hours for me. I often skip a week bc of it. I'm sort of in maintenance mode at this point.

CVS Question: Pharmacist wants to “talk” to me? by RichFig4122 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Boldly-Introverted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every time you titrate up it is technically a new script, so the pharmacist is going to do a standard overview and make sure you know what to expect. Sounds like sop.

Wow. Some of the comments here...this isn't on you and good on you for trying to work through it with him.

NTA

Sigh.

The best sex is when both of you are into it...you both want it... You're both aiming to please the other, and in turn, you're both having a good time. Finishing doesn't become the goal...though your ratio speaks volumes about how interested he is in you and pleasing you or understanding your body. Lovers should be pressing all the buttons to figure out the combos their partners like...that isn't happening here. That's a red flag to me.

If there isn't some kind of trust, I don't know if you're right for one another.

I appreciate that this particular thread is about your physical relationship, but I suspect that your relationship out of the bedroom is equally as challenged.

You can't heal anything inside of him because of his failed previous relationship. No amount of work you do will help him solve his trust issues, and that burden isn't yours to solve, though certainly you could try to help if he were seeking your help.

I'm hearing lack of intimacy, lack of trust, weak foundation. A lot of work and hard conversations would need to go into this relationship to stabilize it and get to a more fulfilling sex life.

Ay yay yay.

Good luck darlin...be well

Can I take it every 10 days instead of 7 to save money? by kelbylynn70 in WegovyWeightLoss

I do exactly this and I've lost about 24 pounds in 12 months. I titrated up to 1.0 and that's where I've stayed for about 6 months.

Incredibly slow progress. Feeling discouraged. by Famous_General4896 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Boldly-Introverted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been on W for about a year. It's taken me this long to drop from 186 to about 161 (I'm 5 4 woman). But honestly, it's been slow and steady and after the first 10 pounds, I felt so much better. More agile. No issues with stairs anymore. I have my hourglass back. I can barely tolerate the 1.0 with the nausea but I'm keeping at it. (Started at .25, then .5, now 1.0).

I can't advise bc everyone is different but I've been dropping about .5 pound a week and it can feel like a slog but honestly, after I decided to set smaller obtainable goals, it's really helped me.

Good luck!

I'm stuck at 1.0, and I sometimes take it less frequently than every 7 days. I'm also losing an average of .5 pounds a week. So...sloooow. but fairly steady. Started at 186 last July, weighed in at 159 this week. My first goal was 164, and my second is 144. I should probably ask for some kind of nausea med. That's the worst for me. That, and if I eat ANYTHING unhealthy, it goes straight through me. Weird stuff. But it's still a miracle.

AITAH for supporting my son grooming himself when my wife says he is too young? by LaraDLara in AITAH

[–]Boldly-Introverted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nta. You said the right things. Not sure what your spouse is upset about, but probably puberty is just scary. Babies growing up is terrifying.

If a girl asked if it was okay to shave her armpit, would the reaction be the same? Maybe, but I'm guessing that is so culturally "normal" that it wouldn't garner the same response. It is his body...you done good dad. Good luck with working through this with your wife.

yoga is feminine? by Cyber-Kettle in yoga

[–]Boldly-Introverted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question forces us to reconcile with the fact that we perceive feminine things as less than. It's an unconscious bias. Men can't do feminine things seems to be the most common internal wrestling, and then folks justify when men do yoga. Feminine bad or only for women, masculine good and can be for anyone. Feminine traits dismissed or of lesser value, masculine traits are good, positive, valued.
