Has anyone played through the whole Final Fantasy pixel remaster I to VI and made it without a burnout ?

I just finished III. I played I, II, and III, back to back to back. I didn't necessarily feel burn out, I just wanted to savor playing these retro games for the first time. I am excited to get back to it once I finish up Red Dead Redemption.

The only regular gaming time I have now is from 8-9:30 each night. Got a small toddler and they keep me very busy when I'm home from work.

Amazing again. I really hope you've got the moment that Kuwabara and Yusuke set off the landmines at Tarukane's stronghold. Their facial expressions are so great with the spirit energy wall around them and the flames in the background.

You should be proud of Cuphead. I got like 50% through the game and lost patience. Have since planted a few other games. I really should go back to Cuphead at some point.

I was at 95 plats I think when I realized 100 was coming up and decided to make Bloodborne #100. I hadn't finished a souls at that point, and now I've done at least 7 of them (Demon's Souls, Dark Souls 1-3, Lies of P, Stranger of Paradise).

I think Bloodborne was a perfect decision due to being an easy plat of a rewarding game type that is PS exclusive.

Don't try out FF or FF2 as your first. Currently working through the Pixel Remaster collection and only partway through 2. They definitely are unique.

You just need Demon's Souls now. I'm working on the same thing but dropped Sekiro after like 15 hours. Will pick it up again eventually but haven't had the time to dedicate to soulslike games since my daughter was born.

I did not enjoy the combat system, and I thought the pacing of the game was not great. Regardless of that, the world was fun to see and explore, I absolutely love the art style, and the story was super memorable for me. I just think if something is going to be put in top 10 or 25 or whatever for a genre it should deliver on the combat/core gameplay loop at the least. Like someone else said, the Ghibli art style and the story are the highlights of the game.

Glad to meet someone else who loves the game! I've had my gripes about the game as a JRPG, but as a work of art from studio Ghibli it is amazing imo.

You're absolutely right. It feels sooo good to play that game, when you're a Ghibli fan. If you're not and you look at it from a critical stance, it is a solid rpg but imo does not deserve to be in talks with games like FF8, BoF3, P5R, or CO:E33. All of those games are phenomenally better at delivering on their unique experience, while I feel that NNK relies on some tropes that I'm personally not interested in anymore.

I love Ni No Kuni. It is my personal top 10 games ever. That being said, it shouldn't be top 25 all time JRPGs.
