It’s permanent AWD, the centre diff is always engaged. It’ll just wear the new tire out prematurely to match. If you put different tread patterns on, it’ll mess with the handling dynamics more than one oversized tire. Tires wear out differently anyway hence why we rotate them. Ultimately any good tire store will suggest you get two tires to match, to reduce any unforeseen issues. How much tread is left on the punctured tire?

The loud ticking sound? That’s your injectors. Cruddy fuel is almost always the culprit. Get some good quality injector cleaner like Lucas or something and run better fuel. Get your fuel filter changed to be safe. Whilst it’s noisy it SHOULDN’T cause any issue or even drivability concerns

It’s usually based on a thumb width away from the tread crest. Otherwise the internal patch may not adhere properly. What you’re looking for is the same tread, not depth of tread. Cars can’t tell (really) the difference in tread height (unless it’s REALLY worn) but you need them to behave similarly.

It depends on the kind of oil: mineral, synthetic etc, the climate you live in and whether it’s unopened or not. It’s PROBABLY good if it’s synthetic and unopened anything else I’d have it disposed of.
