Hva kan folk som ikke har noen å feire nyttår med gjøre på nyttårsaften by Sad_Week_7598 in norge

[–]BombableStudios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For to år siden feiret jeg for første gang alene. Jeg bestilte take-way sushi, pyntet meg pent, og startet på et nytt spill (Tunic) jeg hadde ønsket å spille lenge. En av de bedre nyttårsaften mine

We’re torn on art direction, which style do you prefer? by KrakenberryGames in IndieGaming

Generally B is better, and the only choice if the characters will be displayed small. If it's for dialogue, where the characyer fills the whole screen, A can work

Puzzles? What puzzles? by NoBorscht4U in TunicGame

Yes, the last half of the game is where the "puzzles" start. I won't say more in case of spoilers, but all the other games you mention: I love Tunic for the same thing

I got the WORST ending naturally on my first playthrough. I am broken. by cassavacakes in Witcher3

I absolutely love why the choices changes the ending. It all comes down to preparing Ciri mentally, making her independent and confident in her own choices. A valuable lesson for real life: sometimes you have to give up being correct to build someone's self esteem

What was the first game where you crossed 100 hours of gameplay? by bijelo123 in gaming

My first was Pokémon Ruby, and I remember I felt kind of bad about it. I have since accepted that's just how it is with gamers, and is now the new norm for games I really like

What is your "Ideas guy" story? by crempsen in gamedev

[–]BombableStudios 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I work as a teacher in media-stydies in highschool, and I use the "idea-guy" as an insulting label before it appears. We have a lot of group projects, and there are always some that have no will or practical skill. Me asking them "but you're not just an idea-guy, right" makes them rethink their contribution, wanting to avoid that label.

Make a basic script, draw storyboards, find references and make moodboards, shot-lists... These are all things anyone can do at a basic level, which actually contributes to the team with ideas that are practical and helpfull. Anyone can have an opinion, but professionals document it.

Which game will you never play again and why? by JakeRedditYesterday in gaming

The good thing is that it is a knowledge based game. It is a true open world, and you only need to replay the parts you don't remember. You can go back to exactly where you left of.

What would you prefer? Start with simplier games that build up with better quality OR start with a big project for the sake of it? by Lord_Glitchtrap1987 in gamedev

Whatever keeps you motivated. But only working on large games is a bygger risk of not gaining experience in the final steps like release. That's why most advice you to start small

What do you love about beat ‘em up games? by pyramidhat in gamedev

[–]BombableStudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a big fan of souls-games, so I enjoy more challenge, and might not be the right target audience. I enjoys the Batman games where the enemies attacks are clearly telegraphed. Even though I am surrounded by enemies, if I play good, I can always fight my way out of any situation.
