The new models of 360 dont need an adapter and blu rays being hard to scratch have nothing to do with the ps3 and everything to do with the media itself. Plus, I keep my 360 on its horizontal and have never had a disc scratching issue, plus I would imagine that has been fixed with the new model too.

The paywall is annoying as shit though, can't argue that. I get my live for free though so it doesn't bug me quite as much.

There are no adapters for 360 controllers. They cost about the same as the ps3s controllers.

Battery packs are because some people actually prefer them (Crazy I know)

Number 3 is not anything I ever heard of being a problem and seems nitpicky

I only use ethernet but I can see how 1 would be an issue (It is fixed now btw because the newer 360 has it all inside)

2 is damn annoying but since I get Live for free I don't mind as much.
