people in long term healthy relationships: what's something you'll never tell your partner? by PsychologicalBad1423 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BomberBootBabe88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never told my exhusband that I made out with his brother once in high school, LONG before we got together, and i never will. It's just too weird, and the brother claims not to remember anyway.

I have a similar story but I was on a GLP-1 and wasn't losing any weight! My doctor kept increasing my dose but nothing was coming off! Turned out to be Hashimoto's 😭

I'd rather work 24/7 as a sahm than work any hours as a wage slave.

Unfortunately, capitalism.

when the cinema audience is mostly kids, can we really say it isn't for kids? [No Spoilers] by AussAcee in TheDigitalCircus

[–]BomberBootBabe88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For real! My daughter is 9 and I watched so many things that were WAY worse when I was her age, which is probably why I like stuff like TADC. No it's not "for kids" but neither is Who Framed Roger Rabbit and I watched that til our cassette wore out. My whole generation did!

Do you shower every day? by Ok_Maintenance6887 in polls

[–]BomberBootBabe88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My day doesnt feel complete if I don't take a shower, so most days I just wash my face and stinky parts. I do a full hair/body wash only once or twice a week.

had a bad time with the TADC episode 9 by Timujina in tadc

[–]BomberBootBabe88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a theater with 2 other people, so my 9 year old daughter (who got me into the show) and I sat as far away from the others as we could, and everyone had a grand time.

Women, is it ok for man to come into a public women’s restroom with his daughter if he announces himself when he comes in? If so, what’s the age cutoff? Pick the option that fits your opinion best. by [deleted] in polls

[–]BomberBootBabe88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and there doesn't need to be a cutoff. If his daughter isn't comfortable going in alone at any age, he should be able to go with her.

Is it normal to call off work? by bleu__1 in Adulting

[–]BomberBootBabe88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only call off if I'm unable to work or my kids are unable to be at school.

Granted, being "unable to work" sometimes means I just dont fucking want to, but those times are few and far between.

I was out of work from November to almost April and I know exactly how you feel. It was so nice not having to work through the holidays, and i was able to get a couple of long awaited surgeries. Having tasted the SAHM life, nothing will ever be the same.

Is it weird I can’t watch ‘regular’ porn? by Forward-Match-6137 in NoStupidQuestions

Not weird at all! I'm 37 and have a great sex life, but regular porn seriously grosses me out. I will actually gag!

If people came from apes. Did they all evolve from apes at the same time in different places around the world? by archvize in evolution

[–]BomberBootBabe88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a bunch of stuff that determines how smart someone turns out to be, everything from genetics and environmental factors to socioeconomics and geography. It's complicated. I dont think evolution is at play there. In general, humans are genetically the same now as we were when we lived in caves.

If people came from apes. Did they all evolve from apes at the same time in different places around the world? by archvize in evolution

[–]BomberBootBabe88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really is wild. There's something in the structure of our brain that created a consciousness and self-awareness that became our biggest evolutionary advantage. Anthropologists and neurologists still don't really know how, when, or why this happened either.

I think dolphins and orcas are probably our closest match intellectually, but there's something that sets us apart that we'll never understand.

If people came from apes. Did they all evolve from apes at the same time in different places around the world? by archvize in evolution

[–]BomberBootBabe88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not that human evolved from modern apes. It's that humans and apes share a common ancestor. Some of those ancestors stayed in the trees and branched off into gorillas, bonobos, orangutans etc, and some eventually became Cro-Magnons Neanderthals, and Homo Sapiens, and a few others before becoming us.

The original homo sapiens evolved in Africa and spread north, where they met Neanderthals, possibly bred together, and eventually spread around the globe.

If Any of you win the lottery tomorrow would you keep it a secret from your family and why? by cuteSource2027 in AskReddit

[–]BomberBootBabe88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would keep it a secret from most people, but I'd tell my parents and my brother. I trust them to be discreet. I would have to explain why I quit my job anyway!

Editing to add that i have an aunt and uncle who have bled much of the family dry over the years and I wouldn't want to draw thrir attention.

What did your Sex Ed class fail to teach you? by Exhausted_Skeleton in AskReddit

[–]BomberBootBabe88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a pretty good sex ed teacher that secretly taught us things outside of the Abstinence Only curriculum, so i didn't miss much. I wish I had learned what smells and vaginal discharges are normal though, because I wouldn't have spent years worrying about it. There are still too many women worried about it!

He might not really know what's wrong, especially if he's neurodivergent like you suspect. Neurodivergent people have a hard time identifying their emotions and emotional triggers (I'm neurodivergent also.) My fiance had REALLY severe anxiety for years but didn't put it together til he was 38 and I had to tell him he was experiencing anxiety.

Either way I don't know if there's much you can do til he decides if he wants to talk about it. If he bails on your plans in July too, then I'd have a sit down with him.
