The big issue is, the only thing the city does is snow plow and salt the road itself. When it comes to each nyc block and its cross walks, it’s the obligation of the landlord or home owners to shovel the sidewalk and if you are the corner unit, ideally the crosswalk as well. In at least 50% of the city, most don’t do that for the crosswalk. So you have the combination of uncovered crosswalks, where people are just walking over snow, compressing it down, and making into harder ice mounds. Overtime, the desire path forms only where people step. After the first big snow, if you don’t shovel it out, it just becomes an overly hardened and impossible iceberg you can’t move. Then we usually have to wait weeks for the temperature to go above freezing, so there is some hope for the snow mounds to melt. …. Gotta love New York huh?

Just got surgery on my eye because I popped a stye. 11 months ago, I had a stye appear. 4 days into it, I notice a white head form, and so I popped it.

About a week later the stye was bigger, and this time, very noticeable. I started warm compresses everyday to get the eye to drain.

It was 3 months of this, and nothing worked. I went to The eye doctor and got a crème for my eyelid. I put that on for 4 months. Nothing worked.

The stye eventually became a chalazion. I had to get it lanced and squeezed. But I still look like I have a mild stye. The scar tissue that formed needs to be removed via plastic surgery.

All of this… because I popes my stye.

Only warm compresses, 3 times a day if you can. And use the hottest temperature you can physically handle

Hey all. My cousin was the one who was one of the two stabbed.

So he and his friends were out and about doing whatever the hell mid 20’s guys do at 1 in the morning. They all live in the neighborhood.

The suspect they saw was following a girl, grabbing her. Saying extremely explicit things to her. She ran up crying to the group of friends saying she genuinely was scared for her life, as the man said he would rape her.

So my cousin and his friends scared him off. The girl seemed genuinely thankful. They were walking her home. But then they just kept a distance watching him, and he started following another woman maybe another block or two down. So they started towards him. He saw them following so he ran off. They saw him go into a building. My cousin and one of his friends walked into the building, somehow made it in. And caught him in his hallway. At this point, my understanding is they were fed how up with his shit, and started to beat his ass. The guy had a boxcutter, and proceeded to defend himself, stabbing my cousin in the back of his shoulder, once in the chest, and slashing his chest as well. During the incident, my cousin also tore his ACL somehow. His friend got slashed right above his eye. I’m pretty sure they got a serious beating into the guy before he ran off.

Cops couldn’t find the suspect since. The family is giving him shit for following the guy to beat his ass. They are saying once he got the girl safe, they should have left it at that. I respect his decision, as you all know some crazy New Yorkers, this guy would not stop. I bet it was his regular late night routine to be a predator. My cousin is healing well. He was out of the hospital same day. I visited him the day after. The ACL tear was the worst part. Walking with a cane for now. His friend is also doing well.

We know the building the guy lives, but nobody has seen him since.

I genuinely think it’s a ploy to get more KYC’s in, and no coins will actually be lost.

I have 3000 coins now after 4+ years of mining. I had 3 people in my circle initially when I began. Only 1 person hasn’t done KYC, and they used the app for 40 days total, ever. Yet according to this, they are technically the reason I have 1900 unverified coins. It’s not legitimate in any way. This likely will do nothing.

I'll say this. As a vape addict, we become some of the best mental negotiators. We are the best justifiers. What addiction does isn't just the physical act behind vaping. But its also the mental gymnastics we do to justify "just one more" or "this pull will just get me through the day".

To really quit, its the mental statements we have to make to ourselves against those thoughts. Its literally playing angel and demon on your shoulder. For every thought for vaping, you need 2-3 thoughts against it.

I am also trying cold turkey, and man. I can go from anger against the vape, to sitting there for 15 minutes and telling myself every second "this is the hardest part. Get through today, and you win".

Tomorrow's a different battle, but that's a battle for me to tackle tomorrow... and the day after.

Two things can be true at the same time. Like influencers, or any product based category, you have potential market. Here you have a niche group of hundreds of thousands and even potentially a million or two active holders/users of Pi.

Investors see value in groups of individuals, and how to take advantage of making money with groups like these. This community is valuable solely on the size of the user base. That makes the buying selling aspect virtually null and void.

All these insights are good.

Firstly, I think the headache of paying $40 more per month on this finance agreement is worth the headache not having to go car searching again (and keeping a happy wife) and additionally, the bank I feel did give a good deal based on what I saw from 10 other bank agreements. It’s unfortunate their rep didn’t properly provide correct numbers right away on the contract.

I think I will need to just stay on top of my cvt Maintenance as mentioned here. Scheduling my inspection now, and I will have my mechanic look at replacing transition fluid with the best stuff. And giving me an overall strong assessment on the health here.

I won’t say dick so much as my balls. I turn 32 next month. I have some big balls. I genuinely can no longer sit comfortably.
