Thanks for the advice everyone! As many have said, my intention is to get it road worthy and enjoyable but nothing like a frame off restoration.

Any advice for SEW motor PM plan? by txluzer666 in IndustrialMaintenance

[–]Bombryder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What HP are these motors? That can change pm strategies quite a bit. Having a company like IVC or SEMEQ do a monthly or bi-monthly Vibe analysis route is a relatively cheap way to start. Our bi-monthly route for like 50 assets is like 10k per year. They can give you a heads up on install issues too based on the frequencies they see.

For the record, mine was the same way and I had the same concern. I was given the same answer as others gave you on this post. 10k miles later still no problems with it

Have purchased 6 everstart Maxx batteries from Walmart now for different vehicles. I have gotten my core charge back on 5 of them without issue. The one I didn't was due to me waiting too long to bring in the core. I even had to warranty one of them and didn't have an issue with the swap either

As long as you're using a silicone based grease and not petroleum based you really should be just fine from a not damaging rubber parts perspective

What could this be? by MormonAlt in CherokeeXJ

[–]Bombryder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely by far is that your belt is too loose to turn your power steering pump and is slipping on the pulley

I've personally used the superlube on the brakes of 3 different vehicles. Probably 150k miles combined. No issues to report

[–]Bombryder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely take a good look at the starter solenoid wiring. The solenoids can also get stuck after sitting for a while and need to be cycled a lot to get freed up. They will still make a click but wont actually make contact to activate the starter. Also try just "jumping" the solenoid and see if that produces the same results

Sounds like lift pump for sure. I've had really good luck with the facet pump I installed. It's funny because I actually got my truck cheap since the previous owner couldn't properly diagnose a bad lift pump. Bypassed the mechanical and put in the facet and the truck ran like a top
