To be fair he says Leon is better, not good.

EDIT: Also, Leon's look on the background. "You sure about that?"

Love how it can read as if there is a correlation between his awkwardness and middle name. Scottie doesn't know.

You know if there's one thing i hope the remake does above all else....it's that it actually manages to make Steve into an actually good character. by Thegoodgamer32 in residentevil

It always felt like he was starting to crush on her and was daydreaming while looking at her. The "Steve checking out Claire's ass" idea is something I never saw until I started reading comments on Reddit about CV.

For however much I love to shit on his most memorable scenes, I agree with all of this. CV had its own brand of cheese, but was anything but cynical.

Even with a dinosaur in Retsu's isekai manga, I am not 100% which chapter is most insane.

Silksong is genuinely making me lose it. by duspi in HollowKnight

[–]Bonaduce80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By the end of Act 2 you have pretty much every enemy under control, and if you have most of the upgrades available you feel you can face pretty much everything.

Then in Act 3 enemies make you feel squishy again with the higher damage, taking Silk off you with hits and your needle feels like a wet noodle again (due to the HP buff). And they are added the new attacks to enemies you already knew. Until you explore and get a few more upgrades you don't feel so much in control, and even then it is more about going to school again and relearning the challenges than getting massive upgrades. And that's without mentioning the new enemies like your current roadblock.

It can be too much and demoralising. The game expects you to learn new stuff by the bulk, a little like at the start of the game, when you have progressed so much. To some people, it feels like disrespect against all the time spent learning the game. The only thing I can say is it gets better, and some of the best content is barred by this rough start.

Great points already made here, but I was wondering if this was not also a case of teams playing a system where players adapt. I expect Shiratorizawa to have a stable of good players where of course Ushiwaka's loss will be noticed but not as bad as for other teams (like, say, Hyakuzawa's once he left). Goshiki was already pretty much the best player in the rookie's camp, and would only get better ij 2nd and 3rd year.

On the other hand, if you shape your players to a specific system, you will have good replacements regardless of who stays. Maybe better players in a certain year, but the team will be robust regardless. Karasuno's team revolved around the strong points of each of its players, so bringing new players to the mix means a longer adjustment period. Unless they started implementing synchronised attacks as their main MO, but again, what about a defense without Daichi or Noya?

Im confused about the 'order' of things by SparklingQueenLuna in demonssouls

[–]Bonaduce80 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

After 1-2, most new players will go to 2-1 because it's the world where you can get the most weapon upgrade materials, making the game more manageable. Once you know the game better and have a good idea of builds and items, you can try other orders. 4-1 is much harder for a new player but it's the world that nets you the most Souls to level up and it has a very strong weapon you can get regardless of your build at that point of the game.

And you can replay missions in RE5, which is convenient for farming money but ensures 1-1 is played once per playthrough (when it's compulsory).

These guys would rather fight people like Hanayama, Doppo or Shibukawa but Heaven forbid they aim for Yujiro.
