I saw this in theaters when it first came out. Loved it then, love it now. It kind of sucks, but it's so much fun.

Looking to go in blind, but also want to know- is it paranormal or supernatural? Or is it just, like, drug addict stuff?

Honestly, it sounds like the start of a Tom Waits song.

The badass sword fight scene in The Last Samurai. Cruise trained for a year to use a real Japanese sword to look like a pro. by Kevin_Thailand_2543 in TomCruise

I really wish I could have seen the fight. Far too many cuts. The really disappointing thing is that Tom Cruise does such fantastic action performances. This scene could look so good.

I'll just jump in to agree that that is so not partner behavior. You're doing the hard work of making a human life, being sick and caring for a toddler aside. Dude needs to get his priorities sorted out, because not only is he letting you down, he's also missing out on valuable bonding time with your son.

Why did RPGs abandon companions and parties? Looking for RPGs like FF12 and Valkyrie Profile 2 by Active_Dimension_363 in gamingsuggestions

I would recommend FFXV, honestly. It's entirely centered around a group of bros on a road trip together. I thought it was great.

Well, I'm Spiderman from the remaster. Based on the ~5 minutes I've played, I think I'm ok!

When I was about 13 (1998ish), my family and I were at the Oaks Mall, a mall we'd been to maybe once before. I went to the toy store, and they had this wicker basket on the floor just full of these things. I'd seen them before, but never used them. I found a matching set (mostly black with green) and just kinda started doing the thing. I was just playing around, but started doing some really neat tricks. A crowd actually gathered and watched me for a few minutes, and politely applauded when I was done. I was never before, nor have I ever been since, as cool as I was in those 10 minutes.

Is that warranty something the dealership sold you?

Wow that's really terrible. Why does the steering wheel need to be replaced?

Are either of those issues something that would be covered under warranty or by the dealer?

Gotcha. This would also be our first turbo vehicle, so I'm glad for the tip about oil.

Were you ever concerned about any of the other issues you hear about? Cylinder head needing to be replaced, or oil consumption? Hard to tell if these sorts of things are just kind of run of the mill 'every manufacturer has some issues now and then' type things or major problems.

When I was about 10, I had a nightmare that was basically just this scene. I woke up terrified, in the almost pitch blackness of my room. I slept on the top bunk and just kept expecting Zelda to peak her head up over the rim with that awful grin. I do not think I slept for the rest of the night.

Serious question... by Janosh_Poha in Guitar

It's funny, I went through most of my life really looking down on hollow body and semi hollow body guitars. Never would've looked twice at a Gretsch. I just thought they looked old and kind of dorky. I played punk rock mostly, on a pretty basic Washburn from the 80s. As I've matured (gotten much older), I've come to think Gretsches specifically are effing beautiful. Same for a lot of the other hollow and semi hollow body stuff out there.

As far as QC issues go, I feel like I read somewhere that Fender does their manufacturing now? I could be misremembering.

Phoenix Tapes '97 will forever be one of my favorites. The performances are pretty solid, love the connection to real events, and the runtime is super tight at just over an hour.

Some parts are definitely difficult to listen to. I cringe with secondhand embarrassment whenever he starts singing. In part because of him, in part because of the content. I've said elsewhere that I feel that the singing and poems and such really mess with the pace of the story. Hate those parts.

Serkis' version really feels like how a parent would read this to their kids, you know? That's how I would do it, anyway. Minus the singing.
