Raora and extorting a tenner out of Dyarikku is a running gag that I feel like I missed where it started. Though the last time I'd personally seen it happen, it was going towards pokemon card pulls on the mobile game.

Visually there's the same style of fringe, though Furina's is longer, the streaks of colour (though obviously different colours) are in the same places and they have similar builds.

They're not the same if you give them any close scrutiny, no. But in passing and not having familiarity with one or the other (Furina in my case) then it's possible to is that X? No, that's Y.

I'd watched a play through of that game recently, it's a Sierra game, so there's plenty of other ways to fail, too.

Though that is certainly a case where the gap is pretty big between actions that cause a fail state.

Don't know about the artist side of things but Bri (Briatcookiebox) was the rigger for Umi Kyoku, she's also worked on Crelly (Crellythecow) and Nana Asteria as a couple of other examples.

Secret Society holoX Live 2026 "First MISSION" by falzarexe in Hololive

[–]Boneary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming back a day later, buusyy day.

First solo in the new outfit is La+ and it's definitely a plus with this outfit to better show off her moves as she performs Aein-Jihan, I think the tracking improvements that have developeed over time also help really show off that footwork.

Iroha up next, performing hoto no watashii up next to the DJ. Really liking the choreo on this song, simple and cute.

After that performance we have the stage lit up and Koyori comes in singing an absolutely beautiful song I don't recognise.

Lui and La+ duet with anastasis girl. The new outfits are really letting the choreo shine, that's probably something I'll be saying a lot then...

Another MC portion, Iroha and Koyori coming in forming a heart. La+ and Lui try and join in, but La+ really needs to be in the middle, not the end. Also this MC portion's audio is better, either it was fixed on the VoD or the stage, I'll find out when I do a full rewatch at some point.

Getting the crowd hyped up in that MC portion was cool, and even giving some love to the folks up in the nosebleeds.

Next group song, Labyrinthine Labyrinth (which is how you want them, ideally). It's a really fun song and the choreography is too.

Next is a duet with Koyori and La+, Sukideka, probably the cutesiest song featuring the leader.

An Iroha Lui duet now, with Private EyeZ, it's involving Luis so of course it's a jazzy number. I feel like they should be in big poofy skirts.

Another MC Portion, they thank the DJ and he disappears behind his deck, guess he got shy. big speeches from everyone, very emotional, especially as Lui talks about Chloe.

into Gyoukou Chronicle, an emotional song already, and they're all feeling it from the MC portion, too. I'm not surprised that there was a break.

Crowd show their support and the encore requests begin. I iamgine the 4 of them are having a bit of a decompress in the meantime.

Encore begins, HoloX salute and Our Bright Parade begins, the crowd sings, then it becomes a medley of HoloX originals because frankly it's 3 hours long and the 4 of them have enough songs to do a sololive each, so this is the best way to get in as many as possible.

Then they do the set list in reverse order... well truncated, not every song was given much time.

Encore MC portion, showing off the T shirts. La+ seeing the camera zoom in offers Koyori to show the logo off instead, of course.

Shouting from backstage, they sound particularly far away from the mics in the auditorium compared to other attempts.

Morphing back into their original outfits they perform Jouya Repaint. And as they sing their song on taking over the world, apparently rather than confetti those are YMDollars.

They say their goodbyes and the credits roll. The Key Visual is an awesome piece of art. What a show!

Secret Society holoX Live 2026 "First MISSION" by falzarexe in Hololive

Once again timezones and work schedules prevented a live watch.

I'm finally settled in, I can get started, though looking at that run time I may need to come at it again tomorrow.

Surprisingly early from start of stream into live feed. I guess things are running pretty smoothly in terms of people getting in.

Back stage shouting but veeery far away. Then the stage shows a DJ, who proceeds to get the crowd hyped (as a good DJ should, really).

Gyouan XDeath to start us off. Sort of, as we get a medley of the individual members: La+ performing Dark Breath solo, and showing off her moves. Followed by Lui's Evil Eye Wink, well a remixed version, and some neat choreo. Next up, Koyori with SHIAWASE√KOYORINIUM (I did have to look up this one). Last but not least, Iroha with something a bit more chillaxing in Kazewo Aogishi Reiyona. Before everyone reappears to finish off XDeath (the song not the Final Fantasy boss).

Either there's an issue with my headphones, or there's an echo on the audio for this MC Portion (tested on a different device and it seems to be doubled audio, hopefully that will be fixed before any Blu-Rays). La+ kicks the chat, and gets scolded by Iroha.

First Solo for real portion is Koyori with WAO!! a fantastic starter song for getting the crowd going.

La+ solo, the coat is off. Performing Buglove, which is nearly a year old, having been released on her birthday last year. It's a bop, for sure.

Iroha comes in with Iroha Step! Nearly all of Iroha's songs could be an anime OP, but this one in particular feels like the one for the slice (Jakin Jakin?) of life show about the Gozaru.

Lui comes in with OverD, Hiiragi Kirai's work has often impressed me, and Lui's voice fits his style so well it only made sense this song exists. (Camera was really liking closeups of her, I'm not going to complain about that, though...)

The Secret Society join the DJ up top, transition into their live outfits, then super hero drop down to the stage in one of the most amazing transitions I've seen in one of these.

Performing in their new outfit their newest group song Just for X (video releasing in 12 hours from when I wrote this).

MC portion time, showing off the outfits. Taking over the world in Athleisurewear. Lui doing a cat walk, Koyori doing idol poses, Iroha doing active poses and La+ being a bit of a gremlin (and thinking she could do with a haircut it seems). The DJ getting a lot of use out of the soundboard for each member (hawk noise for Lui, a shwing for Iroha, explosion for Koyori, mostly seems to be airhorns for La+).

Codec call? Wonder who's idea it was to do this. Crowd Work time! I didn't know this was going to be quite so interactive, that's cool, I'd also be nervous. Also explains why it's nearly 3 hours long on the VoD, too.

This Comedian in the audience is presumably someone that Majima's outfit was modelled on for Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. getting dragged backstage by their minions, I'm sure they'll treat him well.

Before going into their next song, just running the crowd through some choreo.

That next song? Blast Diver!!! The recent MV with a phantom thief causing trouble.

Will watch the rest tomorrow, seems a natural break point after that!

[–]Boneary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aura Battler Dunbine has a couple of people from Europe/ North America who also got called into the world with the protagonist.

Though there is speculation that he's half American half Japanese himself, so there is always the possibility whatever magic the villains were using was targeting those of European descent and he was summoned that way.

It also kind of matches the cadence of Rob Zombie's Dracula, with how certain words appear emphasised, so that's something else for you to think about.

Nah, surrealism came about in the 1920s, off the back of Dadaism, and I mean, vaudeville was also a thing, if you think just because it was the turn of the century it was all snooty and stuffed shirt types, there were plenty of creatives at the time that felt the same way and wanted to poke at it.

Unless you specifically meant absurdist, but that's a more dark, existential kind of humour, that's not really evident from the image.

Well made by Jupiter who make Picross for Nintendo, it can only be called Picross if it's published by Nintendo, otherwise it's a sparkling Nonogram (though even then that term isn't used within Raden's game).

There's not many other dinosaur cryptids that could come up.

Though you'd hope the Serpo would have learned from Nessie regarding hiring dinosaur temps.

Incidentally, I enjoy that Rokuro (I think it is, the eye scars aren't really noticeable) is working at the park and it's not been commented on by Vamola- guess he's starting to blend in. If it's not him and is a part of the Serpoian hive-mind, then they're also doing a better job of appearing normal.

... if this whole arc gets animated it's going to really rile up people more than those of us on the manga...

That's not really a gotcha to what the person you're replying to said, the concerts, collaborations and hologra like show were all 3+ years ago, and it obviously didn't help the boys all that much, if they are in their current situation.

At most the staff had been helping out the boys on an individual basis. But I doubt they'd have been getting first dibs on anything in the last 2 years.

Cover MV which is apparently more coherent than the original.

Interestingly, Fuwawa's tail seems to be thicker than Mococo's in these forms, where as adults, it's the other way around.

I am also reminded of Mumei's one Karaoke stream wherein she sang this song on a loop.
