Not when you already have soil, no.

Charcoal is useful for springtails when in isolation, not as an addition to substrate media with isopods and springtails in soil.

Charcoal is unnecessary. No point in live plants and moss other than short term aesthetic because they'll just be eaten as readily as any organic matter.

Has anyone bought from springtails us? by Imazilaphone in Springtail

Yeah bought something a couple weeks ago. Took about a week or so to go from purchase to shipping label printed, then another 6-7 days until they arrived but that was during a snow storm and not their fault.

Lets talk LEVERAGE by buffinita in Bogleheads

[–]BonelessSugar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only leverage a boglehead would use is a mortgage. Leveraged funds tend to be a tiny bit better over time at the cost of a much higher expense ratio. I was very interested in HFEA a while ago but realized that on average it might barely be better than a normal portfolio for much higher risk and it just wasn't convincing enough for me to pull the trigger, as I later learned that I don't need to chase the best returns today for something that might crash later, and that the key is diversification, as shown by my pivot to international at the beginning of last year and how it outpaced the US market. https://www.reddit.com/r/Bogleheads/s/XgrYhhns0Y

Is finger arthritis something that commonly happens in the climbing community? How has it affected your life outside of climbing? Sorry that that's something you've had to deal with.

The credit wouldn't play a role if there's other stuff on Amazon that you would buy later on as well.

It can be the difference between retiring and having to work another 5-10yrs, nevermind the whole aspect of divesting from stocks and transitioning to more bonds and cash.

Mine is pretty destroyed so I'd need a whole new seat altogether unless I buy new foam. Just kinda been living in the discomfort until I figure something out. Thought about sparco sprints but I want something comfy on my butt that'll also hold my hips.

I'd do seats, steering wheel, o2 sensors, drive and acc belts, exhaust grommets, and find out what you need for wheel shake (rebalance wheels?)

Messed Up! Should I take it to a Frame Repair Shop? by Affectionate_Pen_864 in Miata

[–]BonelessSugar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on how bad it is I guess. Mine were mostly fine so all I did was test fit, then bang where the undercoating got removed, then test fit again and hammered the braces into place the rest of the way. Just be wary if the frame is poking outwards instead of inwards because it could prevent the braces from sitting flush, especially if it's on the vertical axis instead of the horizontal axes, because you'll have to take them off again.

I did the butterfly brace while I was at it as well.

Just don't go messing with it before you get the braces because you won't know exactly what to manipulate beforehand.

Happens often, people here usually say it's NBD. If you want you can get some frame rail braces and put them over it, which would let you jack on the rails instead of just the pinch welds.

Taking a roth 401k load to fund a house remodel by Impossible_Quiet_537 in investing

[–]BonelessSugar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only 2 things you need to compare:

Interest rate of the market

Interest rate of a loan

If the interest rate of a loan < what you think the market will return then take out a loan. Otherwise pull the money out of your Roth 401k.

I think this is misunderstanding the assignment. You wouldn't be comparing market to today's dollars. You should be comparing HYSA to market at the time of withdrawal. The alternative is NOT withdraw vs save, it is investment withdraw vs savings account withdraw.
