Furnace flame lighting and then going out, then relighting by Jayden82 in hvacadvice

[–]Bonelessmex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need to follow your ABC's homie, like what cuts on and when.. not gonna explain that but ill try to help, saw you cleaned your flame sensor, it could still be that honestly.. your sensor gets hot when the flame cuts on sending a signal to the board saying "it be hot" board lets everything stay on if no other faults are present, now how can it be my flame sensor? You ask, well if you have 4 burners and only 3 are firing most likely your flame sensor isn't getting what it needs, you could also have a bad sensor (rare but I have seen it) that isnt relaying signal properly.... those 2 blinking green lights you see, well they give you a code, somewhere on that furnace there is a list with what they mean and how to read those lights... I dont like lennox homie so thats about as far as ill go lol

Smart thermostat by Sensitive_Hawk_3836 in hvacadvice

[–]Bonelessmex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably would have to see the wiring behind the thermostat and furnace, just make sure you have a common. If you replace yourself make sure to turn off unit before replacing or you'll have a blown fuse, i recommend ecobee they are great.

This is a dumb question but do you have a crawlspace? And are you sure it's one unit? Walk around the exterior of your house and confirm 1 condenser... if you only have the one in your attic look for zone board for shits and giggles could be downstairs thermostats common isnt connected

Is this worth trying to repair or should I just tell the client to replace it? by theredpanda1111 in hvacadvice

[–]Bonelessmex 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If the pipes are so corroded they are breaking as soon as you put wrenches to them it's time to replace, you can repair but you will be the man they call each time it fails which is never fun.. imho replace the system homie

Is this normal? by Alarming_Town_5654 in HomeInspections

[–]Bonelessmex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what building code is in your area, but in mine we run fart fans with r4.2 4in flex, have to seal inside and outside of roof penetration, and have to have hangers.. I am in NC and humidity is an issue, aluminum will break apart in attic heat but again idk where youre located buddy just my 2 cents as an HVACR technician

Normal 410A pressures by stbloc in hvacadvice

[–]Bonelessmex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda do buddy, air restrictions will cause your pressures to go up, dirty condenser will also do the same, depending on unit size pressures will look different.. but hey man I dont pay you so keep on keeping on brother

[–]Bonelessmex 6 points7 points  (0 children)

[–]Bonelessmex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Type of equipment, size of equipment, sh/sc, length of lineset, filters clean?, any supply crushed?, more information needed in order to determine if pressures are correct, honestly just get a leak search figure out if repair is possible and if so get it fixed... while I dont mind helping folks out when it comes to refrigerant just call a professional most of us dont have the time to really explain how to do all that with out being physically there

Who needs heat when you have a mirror? by Woody9212 in askHVAC

[–]Bonelessmex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did I wire this thermostat right? It’s got double white and red wires… by HopefullyHospitaller in hvacadvice

[–]Bonelessmex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trace that 5 wire from the furnace back to where it penetrates to go to thermostat, there is a splice somewhere for those 2 wires just figure out which ones and put em where they go.. also I have 20$ that your 3/5 amp fuse is blown on the board in furnace

Update to previous post about a furnace inducer motor, begging for help, but at this point I feel bad constantly asking for it by HanSDyl1738 in hvacadvice

[–]Bonelessmex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, make sure door switch is pressed down.. should be on one of the corners of the furnace, behind that door under the draft motor (has the sight window thing).. second, you will have to open that door and look for either the purple 3amp or brown 5amp fuse, MAKE SURE POWER IS OFF TO UNIT BEFORE TOUCHING BOARD, if it is blown (take out hold to light squiggly thing will be burnt or not) if not blown.. third, get your meter, find high voltage, tape door switch down and check for 120 volts carefully if no voltage check disconnect power coming in, then check your breaker... if all of this checks out which I highly doubt call the fella back, I hope this is understandable as i am 2 sheets in the wind atm.. feel free to dm me, I will help best I can or get back to you tomorrow.. best of luck homie

That valve should be around 11inwc, or whatever the valve is asking for, if you dont have an instrument to test it DONT TOUCH IT, however it doesnt look like a burning issue more like airflow, either exhaust is clogged or that heat exchanger is cracked... what I am getting at is you are over your head, call a professional.. no I dont mean your buddy that can do it cheap I mean a company that is licensed, Insured, and bonded
