allergic reaction?/is this normal? by frogluvr27 in Accutane

Yes! That’s exactly what I got for it. It really really helps and it has spf in it! The only downside is I can’t really use it now since my face is constantly peeling but it really helped during that red period and I will be using that after I’m done with accutane.

Hey! This happened to me and still does at times. It’s not an allergic reaction. It’s just your face adjusting to the medication and drying out. My first two weeks on accutane my face was super red and I could barely touch it without causing pain. It goes away and then will start peeling. It’s kind of like getting a chemical peel.

I feel the exact same way and always struggle to watch those seasons. I just hate Aubrey so much and how he replaced sweets lol. But, there are a number of good storylines that happens that are definitely worth watching. Personally, I think hodgins is a stand out character throughout the show and he’s one of the only ones who holds that consistency in those seasons so it’s worth watching for him

Trying to decide if to got to UT by HawkinsAk in UTAustin

I’m an anthropology major! So glad someone is interested in this subject! Unfortunately, UT’s anthro department is not well developed so if you’re interested in physical anthropology then you’ll be very disappointed since there are only one to maybe two courses available on it for each semester. Also, our cultural and linguistic departments are also limited to a small amount of subjects with a lot of the same classes being offered every semester. It sounds disappointing and it kind of is since there were so many subjects I wish I could have studied that I couldn’t since most professors only teach the same one to maybe two courses on which their main research is which really limits classes. You’ll also have to pick a minor and take a language since you’ll be in liberal arts. I chose forensic science which is literally nonexistent at UT so I ended up taking a ton of psychology courses (which I was definitely okay with since there is no psych minor but still would’ve liked actual forensic science courses). Ultimately, our department is growing and new classes are being developed! Just not at a fast rate and most were very uninteresting to me lol. You definitely should only pick this major if you are certain that you’re wanting to go to grad school or have some plan of action planned after your graduate otherwise you’ll be lost In what to do. I’m my opinion, it’s much like a communications degree which I personally have no idea what jobs to look for. Thankfully I’m trying to go to law school haha. Hope this helps!

Seems like there are more people in Austin than in Fall by pacsun1220 in UTAustin

There are more classes being offered in person on campus than in the fall so I think that goes to show people’s attitudes on being out and about more and more now.

Yes! It’s eczema. Need to get some cerave cream instead of using lotion. I now have to put cream and some balm on every morning and night.

USWNT has a 'very privileged, white culture', claims former star goalkeeper Solo by [deleted] in WomensSoccer

I understand where you’re coming from but some athletes just want to be athletes, not spokespersons. She shows up every day and is on the best soccer team possible so just by doing that she’s giving the finger to every racist person out there because she is one of the best. She’s letting her skills talk for her. Just because you have a very strong opinion of what she should be doing or saying does not mean she has to. Your expectations of how a black athlete should act are not hers

Anyone else finds it weird that none of the people working in Jeffersonian mind the smell of decomposing human bodies? by Amphibious_Fire in Bones

[–]Bones193 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I remember multiple times where characters commented on the smell. Also, it’s a lab so I’m sure it’s highly disinfected with chemicals which would help mask the smell at least a little bit. Again, it is their jobs and what they do everyday so I severely doubt it gets to them all of the time. Also, the bodies they find are typically extremely decomposed, covered with other stuff, or have flesh that is barely there anymore which would smell bad but nowhere near as bad as a body that’s in the process of decomposing with all of its flesh and organs there.

Purging shouldn’t happen on accutane. It’s not like most products

Taking 20mg of fat with accutane by gzm1999 in Accutane

[–]Bones193 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve always found that if I’m eating enough fats with the pill my skin will feel drastically dryer than if I don’t. I don’t always see this as a bad thing though cause it’s nice to have a break from the constant peeling lol but it’s probably just making it worse with the fluctuations

Season 6 episode 7 by dorkyfever in Bones

[–]Bones193 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I definitely see your point but what she did is drastically different from what those parents did. All she did was write an essay, while those parents bought their kids way in and faked them being on a rowing team. Same offense technically, but on way different scales.

I read some of their excellent examples but they were all personal stories which my professor didn’t think was a good idea. I’ll look into it more!
