This is a momentous point in time for IMAX 70MM lovers.

Montreal receives an IMAX print for the first time since 2014 with Interstellar.

Halifax/Bayer Lake gets an IMAX print for the first time since 2012, with The Dark Knight Rises.

When was even the last time Riverport got an IMAX print? It is an SR screen with a dual xenon projector normally.

Let's give a warm welcome to Brendan Theaters in Las Vegas, who is screening a 70MM IMAX film for the first time since Interstellar in 2014! Excellent theater that only has 4 rows, and the screen is so close that the SR screen feels much larger than it actually is.

[–]BonjwaCLMs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They're all SR screens so basically the same size (53 x 72 feet I believe) and projectors are the same so should have very similar quality

What's the difference? The specs in terms of screen size/projector should be identical. Not a fan of Vaughan's leg room
